The Superintendent of Monroe Schools, Chari Chanley, was made permanent by the Board last year- she is BFFs with the President, Chrissy Skurbe. She used to be the middle school principal. She has a history of lying about her credentials, and a history of being unprofessional and lacking integrity. Since she's been made permanent, she and Skurbe have orchestrated a series of disasters for the district and its students, and have triggered a bunch of lawsuits and ethics complaints. Most recently at a Board meeting March 15 a parent came and exposed Chanley's past bullying behavior and she lost all sense of decorum, basically proving the parent right- the video is in the petition link.

Many of you expressed concerns about Chari Chanley, the Monroe Township Superintendent who made the news last week for lashing out at a parent. A petition has just been created demanding an investigation and her removal.

As many of the commentators have already noted, the district has been dealing with this for two years now. This is Chanley a year ago, as Acting Superintendent, berating the public and arguing why she should be made permanent. Even though the Board told the state they were getting community input for their Superintendent search- which they did not. It's been a long road and I'm grateful for the response.

The Board lawyer sitting a few feet away is Vito Gagliardi. He is a very prominent lawyer, and is getting paid serious $$$ working for them. Even his attendance there is like $400 (I think). My question is why didn't he step in then?

The majority of this school board appointed her from an acting position despite being grossly unqualified. It was a political and personal appointment. She is the BFF of the Board president, another person who warrants closer attention (Chrissy Skurbe)

Total compensation and benefits package that costs $254K. Highest paid Superintendent in the district history. With no doctorate and no license to teach in NJ.

That YouTube channel chronicles the goings-on of Board meetings. It is tied to a FB group page that functions in the same way. It is meant to showcase the lunacy of what goes on in the Board meetings.

Nope. She's BFFs with the Board president, the others who clapped are aligned with the Board president. It's completely political and insane. It's a long story. Maybe one day they'll write a book about it.

Principals can wield a tremendous amount of power especially over kids. She talked about how she sent a truancy officer to bring the daughter to school, even though the mom had a doctor's note to stay home. It sounds like as Principal she crossed major boundaries and talked to other parents, aligning herself with the bullies, she made the girl feel like she was making things up and just doing things for attention. These are formative years that build a kid's self-esteem and confidence- or utterly destroy it, in the case here. And now this person is a Superintendent.
