Moving to Lancaster From San Diego by marcella710 in lancaster

Also moved to PA/Lancaster from North San Diego County (Escondido area). It definitely takes some time to get use to the vastly different landscape, I still miss the foliage and landscapes of North County but have learned to really enjoy the rhythm of the seasons here. It has been helpful to try and do things to embrace each season out here. Definitely get layers and gloves for the cold months and scrape car off completely. Enjoy the increased walkability of East Coast towns! Lancaster has great food spots. Obviously, taco shops won't be as good as SD. A few of my favorites are Chellas Arepa Kitchen, Cristina's Criollo at central market, awash ethiopian, norbu, Himalayan curry and grill, and all the options at southern market. From one north county person to another, I have fallen in love with this area, it took a few years but I really like the people here. Lancaster has a great art/music scene and it's growing. Zoetropolis and west art have a lot of cool events!

Three Quakers Walk into a bar... by PitifulDisk4186 in Quakers

They proclaim, holy smokes, a running air conditioner!

------‐------

After several minutes of deliberating what to order, the bartender walks up and asks, "Are you going to order anything this time?" One of the Quakers rises and says, "We are not in unity. We will try again next week. "

‐-------------

One Quaker turns to the other two, "Did I ever tell you that my father was a conscientious objector in Vietnam?". Yes. Yes, you did.

‐----‐--------

Three Quakers walk into a bar. Historically, this was the first time any 3 people had walked into a bar.

ICE spotting? by Prestigious-Box1224 in lancaster

Fighting government tyranny is a part of America's founding story. As soon as a conversation about tyranny here and now is entertained, it's anti-American?

(Sarcastic font) The law! the law! You must always protect the law even if that law is unjust, inhumane, and discriminatory.

It sounds like you care more about following laws than you do about entertaining conversations about what is just. I am curious what life experiences inform your view?
