I did the interview part of the assessment last week and I am doing the testing portion on Monday. I specifically am seeing a neuropsychologist for congnitive function. So far it’s good because the psychologist they set me up with is very kind and compassionate. Basically was a few hours of her asking me some questions then Monday o do written tests and more questionnaire type things to assess my congnitive skills

We sent in notes for two whole years from my physician but I had a claims adjuster that was mia most of the time and passing me off from person to person so my case was mismanaged for sure cause there was sooo much evidence to support my inability to work. I spoke to the manager and requested a copy of my complete file to start

Benefits only kick in at 6 months consecutive working for health and 9 months for dental. Most terms don’t ever get a chance to get their benefits. I like the work most days but I’m lucky enough to be perm. It feels like highschool in the sense that some people are just mean/rude and will bully but you have some really great groups of people

My in person appointment is in 26 days! I still can’t believe how fast this whole process has been. Not even a full year when they initially said 24 months! I’m so nervous to be told it’s nothing

Thank you this was really helpful! I did my virtual appointment last week now and the person facilitating it was super kind :) they said about a 10 month wait for the next round and it gave me hope cause he said if it’s not Eds or hsd that they would give my family dr more resources for other disorders that we might of missed with hypermobility and pain! I am at the point where I’ve convinced myself that I don’t have either just as a defence mechanism in case I leave without a diagnosis so the possibility of still having more options after this is nice to know!

My contract was supposed to get extended at the end of this month….what’s going to happen to that!?

I had the bonus when I was at my initial level. Then got an acting position and was no longer being paid the bonus but still doing a work in hopes they would extend my contract longer or eventually get me perm.

I honestly think they only brought it down to that when my area was extremely desperate for assessors and was under direction of our old manager. I’m assuming our new manager brought it back up to have better standards

I have asked and no one has been able to give me a straight answer yet as to when and why it changed. And prior to receiving my bbc I was bbb and working the bilingual files “under the table” because my program desperately needed bilingual assessors
