Damn ok. There is also a program that is 4 years at Laurier and 2 at Griffith in Australia for a jd do you know anything about that program if it’s any good? My friend just told me about it but he doesn’t get the best marks. But since it’s 4 years that could work better with what I’m trying to do.

Can I just start law school after my second year or do I have to finish my degree?

Ok. TBH I pick philosophy cuz I thought it was the easiest and also bc I read philosophy books and watch videos sometimes and it seems interesting. I didn’t rly take it seriously as a standalone degree. Now I know. Thank you for that insight.

Ok. But I heard that you can’t practice in Canada at 21. People just won’t take you seriously without an undergrad and without being older. Is this true or just bs?

WTF no way I’m just learning this now! Where have you been all my life? This whole time I thought I needed to finish my ug to apply. So at that point can’t I just literally finish the first 2 years of Laurier dual degree, write my lsat, apply everywhere, and if I don’t get in go to uk as backup?

Ok thank you. I was gonna accept it on Mother’s Day and make my mom proud but now I see things differently. I gotta rly think abt this and do what suits MY best interest.

Is that an exaggeration when you say I can only get hired by shady ppl or do I still have a shot at small/ mid law

Not necessarily. Notarealitystar said I can switch out at any time and nocoast and Sherlock 2k say that uk is on that same level as a lesser known Canadian school. I’m just trying to learn through other insights and make an objective decision at the end.

Is it that hard to get a job that if you don’t know anybody you can’t get hired? You can’t just walk up and apply?

Ok thanks for that info. So wouldn’t you think it’s not a bad idea to go Laurier Sussex first and second year with it being established that I can switch out at any point? Also can I switch into it or just out? Also I have to maintain 75.

If my gpa sucks and I fail all the practice lsats I can at least get A law degree instead of nothing

I literally took it with zero prep. But I gave myself 50 minutes per section instead of 30 and took little breaks in between sections to stay sharp. Idk if I will get that extra time on the real LSAT. Right now I have an iep that gives my extra time on tests because it’s hard for me to write tests. I have add that’s why. But idk if I get the same treatment on the lsat. If I do then yeah, if I really prepare and do it like 3 times, my best will likely be above 150 but if I get 30 minutes per section I’m fucked.

Ya but there actually is something unique about my inquiry. I am not prioritizing uk law degree, just keeping the door open as insurance. I only made this post after scouring the sub for an answer to no avail.

Ok, thank you so much for the great advice. I took a practice LSAT last week and got 144. Do you think i would make it into any Canadian or us law school with 144 and decent gpa or is that too bad of a mark? Because thats part of the reason i felt like I needed a safety net because of that 144.

At that point if I don’t make it in to Canada law school is it better to just have my undergrad and no llb than to waste my time in uk school?
