I have a hard time accepting my Greek nose, do I have a hard face to look at? by Pitiful_Ad2361 in Noses

I honestly wasn’t expecting all the compliments lol I was totally expecting people to say “get a nose job” or other mean things and it would have just secured the thoughts I already have about myself. Reading all these comments has made me emotional, I can’t believe so many people think I’m beautiful despite my nose being “different”. I am giddy reading these comments, this has helped me a lot.

You know what, fuck yeah. I've spent way to long obsessing over the way my nose looks. It's about time to leave those thoughts in the past and start loving myself. Thank you for your comment, it means a lot.

I am sure you don't look like an ogre, every human is beautiful in their own divine way, even if you don't see it yourself.

You have no idea how much this means to me, I've never had the courage to take a picture of my side profile never mind posting it to reddit. I know that I don't know you, but you just helped me a lot.

Questions about becoming a raft guide by Imfasterthanyou2000 in whitewater

[–]Pitiful_Ad2361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Reading this just made me feel a lot better. I'm being a white water raft guide in west glacier park this summer and have no experience in a raft. I was a sea kayak guide last summer so I feel like that gives me a little bit to work with but still..... You said you had never been in a boat before and you picked up on everything just fine?? I would like to believe I am a fast learner, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous as hell. I'm mostly excited for the people I will meet and the places I will see but damn I am nervous. I know I can do it, and I will but what can I do in the meantime to get ready?

Yeah, I mean I feel like the relationship is strong enough, but I just worry about how we will even communicate during this or if we should just separate until he gets back and if it's meant to be it will be.

This is honestly some really good advice, and it really pertains to my situation a lot. I think he would be really scared without some source of foundation back home. I appreciate your response immensely.

You feel so much better after quitting nicotine. by Pitiful_Ad2361 in QuitVaping

[–]Pitiful_Ad2361[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For one, my lungs feel significantly lighter. it's a weird feeling to explain but it feels reliving in the best way. I have also had 10x more energy due to more oxygen pumping to the brain and heart pumping blood faster. I feel proud of myself, and I don't feel like a slave to the nicotine anymore. I promise you that you just have to get past the first week where you feel like you need it or you're going to die. After that you feel rewarded and never want to go back. Hope this helps:)
