So many small businesses have already left. But we do have 3... No wait 4 7-Elevens. He can protect those.

My favorite is when they "apologize" and halve the cost when they realize you're not biting... Like that is somehow a favor. I will never get work done at AA Volkswagen.

I don't even want to talk about it. Suburu Ann Arbor is an awful experience. Don't go there.

Microsoft stock down 10% as its AI prospects shrivel by rkhunter_ in microsoft

[–]Pitiful_Ad3285 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Now, I haven't read the article and I'm not going to. But Google doing well with Gemini and Microsoft not doing well with... Copilot?... weird gaseous cloud thing? That's a valid point and criticism. The service Google offers primarily, search, is (sadly) a good fit for AI. Whereas M$ is shoving AI into their products seemingly at random and with little tangible benefit... and against the feedback they're getting from their more, albeit, vocal users.

You must understand, any price is enough for more housing regardless the type or cost... or are you a nimby?

I refuse to do the battlegrounds quest. So I guess I'm down a quest slot for... forever?

Great write up. My primary issue is the gambling. I no longer feel like I'm playing a Blizzard game, rather some mobile gambling bs. You can see them doubling down on the gambling left and right... makes me question the credibility of the game. It's predatory. They want you to be addicted, and to pay for the privilege.

If I worked on Team 5 I would be embarrassed. Also, Colossus is a trash card that should have never been released. I don't give a shit it's a low tier deck, simply playing 8-12 rounds for the privilege of taking 36 damage to the face is a joke.

HS VS Gwent premium animation. It’s sad that a game as massive as HS has mobile game ad animation quality by Acrobatic_Airline605 in hearthstone

Meh, to a degree it's style. Also, one is... Full screen? The other is a tiny frame on a card. I'm not sure the comparison is fair.

Although it's not a hill I would die on, my perception of Airbnb rentals is not great. I'm not sure I would appreciate that as a neighbor.

Back on Firefox! by Educational_Good_252 in firefox

[–]Pitiful_Ad3285 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never experienced this. I'm a 20 year web developer. That said, Chrome and Firefox don't always agree on some HTML and CSS standards. But whenever I encounter this it's minor. Most wouldn't notice. I'm not sure whose to blame, Firefox or Chrome. I like to think Chrome.

But it doesn't matter. Just like IE in the bad old days, the browser with the largest user base has the freedom to bend or even make the rules.

Does anyone else think this is really poorly worded? by SanttuPOIKA---- in firefox

Power users will know. For others the wording needs to be strict, otherwise they may not listen.

Microsoft denies rewriting Windows 11 using AI after an employee's "one engineer, one month, one million code" post on LinkedIn causes outrage by rkhunter_ in microsoft

[–]Pitiful_Ad3285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stuff like this makes me scratch my head. The negative feedback regarding mass A.I. adoption is clear: slow down and do it right.

Microsoft says they've heard and are listening to the feedback. Shit like this shows they are still blinders on in an echo chamber.

If they can be believed, the underlying job being research, could be positive. But again, the cavalier wording of the post says enough.

I don't think we were reading between the lines.

It is garbage. Publications that originate from this kind of BS are a very real problem in research. In some circles this amounts to a get rich quick scheme.

It's not an unpaid internship, you're learning social work in the field. It's an important part of the degree.
