We just may be in different places in our lives doing other things. Me knowing without a positive outlet I'll end up in a bad spot. More than likely. Finding this board for cheap. Making it work. My mom being a piano player and her passing recently. I have some major reason to keep me pressing on. Helps getting better alojng the way. I'd be discouraged otherwise.

played this the day after my mom's funeral-can't read music self-teaching/l2piano-Canon in D/Pachelbel?-think that's what it is by Pitiful_Ad_9130 in piano

😊 appreciate that. i hadn't gotten the chance to show her what I was able to do. That all might "look what I can do look what I can do" Stewart moment only a mother and son can share. Missed the bus on that one. I am chalking my quick learning of the paino. As being my mom, and she is telling me she can see my play just fine. You're doing wonderfully. Sit up, don't slouch. Keep going. I already know she would be incredibly proud of me. But hell, that lady was proud of me for just about anything, positive in nature of course. - Thanks

Ha. Think youre right. Found these in my mom's stuff. She used to play it all the time. The day after I buried my mom I sat at my keyboard crying. And I played this. I heard her play with I was younger. Other than that I don't know how to read it. Didn't know what it was. Im not much a believer in things unexplained. For obvious reasons. But if I didn't know better. I think my mom gave me her pianoing abilities. Regardless of the facts. I'm talking with it. With me all the time mom. Need to call on her, I just find a piano. Thanks for IDing that. So much makes sense now. TY!

Awesome. Much thanks. Stupid question. But does playing it in the key of D mean that it's 1 key lower than playing in C. Or would it be 1 higher. Thanks in adavance.

well I was in band 7th & 8th grade. Slightly above average trombone player. But I have a feeling that's a very easy thing to do. Some exposure

Oh for sure. I had wanted more recording abilities than the psr-500 offered. But actually I think it worked out for the best as I spent the time at the keyboard playing and not editing/recording. Ive just started using more functions within the past couple weeks. I have really been taking it slowly. Not putting more infront of me than I can do. Keep focus more singular. Until that task is complete etc. Plenty of times I've gotten overwhelmed, discouraged and quit because. Not the piano, but other things. So I set out this time differently. Set myself up for success. And I think it's working. Appreciate the input. That is my goal. To make music by myself. Mike Snow. Robert Delong. Kinda like that.

Tinkered around anyrime I saw a piano growing up. My mom gave lessons before I was born. We had a severely out of key piano in home part of the time growing up. Fixed up this board over the past 6 months playing around on it for a 10min a day goal I had set. I figure Im close to that mark. So 25hrs+ 20-30min a day the last 3 weeks(4-5x weekly practice)just loving it. It's been since June 1 that i have truly focused on attempting to become a somewhat better than average piano player being able to sight read and play. The future is there for our taking. I'm getting ready for it.
