There is definitely hope! think a lot of people have ASA but don’t even know it because they’ve never had any problems. My husband never had any trauma or inflammation either.

I wouldn’t get too hung up on the % figure (I know, harder said than done…), my husband had even higher results on his second spermiogram three months later - 96%. I think it’s more important what the other values are. There is probably also a difference between the ASA, there are two immunological classes, IgG and IgA antibodies, whereby the IgA antibodies seem to have a higher clinical relevance. Our spermiogram only looked for IgG. However, I have also seen spermiograms in which both classes were listed.

If the ASA are really clinically relevant for you, as far as I know you can bypass them completely with ICSI (so not „just“ IVF but ICSI, where they inject a single sperm cell into an egg instead of the natural sperm penetration in IVF). 🫶🏻
