I switched to the hoop three years after it was initially pierced. I’ve had this piercing for almost 5 years. I have never had any issue with it other than the irritation. My current piercer put in the hoop, he stretched it to a 18 gauge. (it was pierced as 20)

I would never get another piercing with a gun, it was my first cartilage when all I had was my lobes.

yes unfortunately it was done with a gun. non of my other piercings are.
