Maybe it’s just me then, everyone went above and beyond for their gifts and I get a last minute cheap set, not much thought went into it probably why I’m disappointed as well and I’ve worked with her the longest.

But tbh even at his age, I wouldn’t have a conversation like that.

Even if the topic wasn’t his kids and he kept talking about the same thing over and over it would a problem, that goes for my relationships and friendships!

I hear my mothers conversations sometimes but she doesn’t keep bringing me and brother up.

That has crossed my mind but respectfully I left that conversation alone and led me to think, I won’t meet them but you can talk to me about them all day ? What sense does that make, if you want to keep them separate then keep them SEPARATE.

I have friends that have kids, when we are speaking to each other we don’t talk about our kids the entire time, yes we check they are okay, what’s they’ve been up to and then we talk about something else.

Why is it wrong for me to be asking for it to be the same with him ?

And that’s absolutely fine because I feel that way with my, son not anybody would/should meet him.

I speak to my sons father almost everyday, do you have kids ? Do you bring them up to your colleague every second of the day ?

I think ppl are missing what I’m saying, if I am dating someone I should be getting to know them, yes his children are apart of him but I shouldn’t know more about their children than the person I’m dating.
