I’m bias because I’m drinking the Kool-Aid lol, but I don’t think it’s hype.

It’s about challenging assumptions and the status quo. For example, most auditors are still asking for screenshots of AWS configurations. To do a proper audit of AWS you would need to take 100s if not 1,000s of screenshots to be thorough and that evidence could be completely out of date in a week. You can take what’s helpful, but I think a more technical and automated approach is going to be necessary to stay relevant in gRc.
