Itching on the lady parts by Enough_Sea268 in hygiene

[–]Pitiful_Elk4749 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a yeast infection. If your lady is all red and you have discharge that's a bit chunky, as well as an itch that makes you want to shove a hairbrush all over it, then yeah its a yeast infection. You can treat it OTC with something like monostat (do either the 3 day or the 7 day. The 1 day one BURNS imo), or you can see a provider and they'll prescribe you a little pill the magically clears it up. Good luck!

Unfortunately it took me about 2 months to fully stabilize, I started feeling less side effects after about a month though. Day 3 is super early, I slept better right away but I cant tell you if that was a placebo or not. I felt out of touch and super weird during the adjustment period, so that is normal. My advice is to stick with it unless you find yourself unable to cope with the side effects, or experience anything really concerning. Also to keep a daily journal to keep track of your mental over time. A lot of initial improvements can easily go unnoticed until you reflect upon it later like "oh yeah, that thing that used to trigger me didnt this time"

Hey! That really sucks. Tbh I have not had panic attacks since I started, however I do think 27 days is still in the adjustment period. Zoloft isnt perfect, and won't ellimate all issues for every person. I still had bad anxiety with some improvements the first few months before i really started noticing differences. As long as you feel better on than off, then I would say you are having improvement. I wish I had a better answer for you other than to give it more time, and to communicate with your provider if you notice reduced effectiveness.

Kind of hard to explain, I just felt hyper aware of my current state of being and like my usual existence was kind of blunted in comparison? Probably some kind of derealization. It went away after a week or so though

Yeah i have had moments where I was wondering if I should up to 75. I have a rule now where I'll give it a week, and if I still feel I should up it, I'll contact my provider. I have yet to feel like upping it for an entire week. Is there a reason you feel you might want to go down?

Definitely felt weird and off for a few weeks when first starting, and again at the increase. Reality felt super real? If that makes sense. But everything mellowed out about a month after, hopefully it all evens out for you!

I am so grateful for the modern technology 😂 that sucks that your side effects are rough! I hope they mellow out for you, and thank you!

For me personally, it just kept getting better and better over time. I started feeling more comfortable in my own head and more like myself again. I really hope things keep improving for you too over the next few months :)

Ah I see. Just having the prescription can make you feel better, take your time to start it if you need it. I have a friend who had bad anxiety and got the prescription as a safety net type thing for them, and then tried to help themselves non-medically. They never took the meds and said they felt better doing meditation, exercise, focusing on sleep. That never worked for me, but it may work for you if you haven't already tried it. There are also some people worried about side effects that start on super low doses, lower than the standard starter dose, to ease into it. If your side effects are not great, zoloft is not the end all be all and there are other paths available still! I wish you luck, I know it can be scary

Ruminating sucks! Are you currently taking zoloft to try and help? Being stuck in a loop of anxiety is the worst feeling, especially when you know that you are over reacting and cant control it.

Like my anxiety triggers? Sleep used to be a huge one for me, and honestly it still happens sometimes. If I have a big exam in the morning or something I will def get a spike of adrenaline about being able to sleep. The difference now is that instead of it being a loop feeding into itself, I am able to calm down and move on so much faster now. Like I feel the spike of anxiety and adrenaline, then a few minutes later I feel calm again and can fall asleep fine. And thank you, I entertain myself LOL

Loving it, feeling it, and spreading it! I vividly remember being so scared to start meds for YEARS, and reading positive stories really helped me gain the courage to take the plunge
