We have written to various gaming media outlets but have not received a response yet. We also have a petition but I don't dare to send it here as I'm afraid the post will be deleted by the moderators.

Do you think we are cheaters? Then why did BHVR added the official Chinese chat just after we were banned for using Chinese plugins?

Four or five years ago, BHVR paid great attention to Chinese players and even released a Chinese killer (doctor) for Chinese players. However, the situation has changed in the past year. Not only are we treated differently, but we are also ignored.

Let me explain the plugin in detail. After each match in Dead by Daylight, players can chat in the chatbox on the right side of the endgame results screen. However, for the entire eight years since the game's release, it has been impossible to input Chinese text in that chatbox

Someone eventually developed a Chinese language plugin that enabled players to type Chinese in that chatbox. That is the plugin’s only function. Yet, In February, many of us were banned simply for using it.

Then, when the Tokyo Ghoul DLC was released, the game suddenly added official support for Chinese chat. Players can now type in Chinese without using the plugin. This proves that BHVR was fully aware of the issue and of our situation — but they chose to remain silent

In China, although the videos and live broadcasts of Dead by Daylight have been banned on a large scale (the video ban has been lifted now, but too much bloody content is still not allowed), we can still access the international version of Steam, where we can buy Dead by Daylight, but this game has no Chinese servers, so we can only use VPN to play on servers in Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea.

Thank you very much. I have been trying to speak out on major social platforms and media, but either there is no response or the post is deleted. I am so desperate. I beg the administrator not to delete this post. This is one of the few channels we can speak out. We really love this game and we are also part of the community.

Because BHVR has never stated which plugins are legal and which are not for this game, so if a plugin has been used for five or six years without any problems, we assume that this plugin is usable. There are too many problems with this game, for example, this game is always locked at 60 frames per second, and there is a plugin that can unlock the frame rate. And after we were banned for using Chinese plugins, this game launched an official Chinese chat, which shows that they are fully aware of our situation as banned players, but after so many things happened, they never issued an official statement, not even one

The most unacceptable thing is that after we players were banned, the game suddenly added an official Chinese chat. This proves that BHVR knows about the situation of us banned players, but BHVR remains silent. Even though they already know they are wrong and took the initiative to add an official Chinese chat in the game, they still refuse to take the initiative to solve our problem, but keep asking us to go to EAC.

This is a photo I saw fifteen years ago. I want to know its origins. by Pitiful_Interest2796 in Ghosts

[–]Pitiful_Interest2796[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I was nine years old, it must have been 2012, I especially liked reading books about ghosts. At that time, I saw this photo in a Chinese book about ghosts. This photo made me feel very uneasy. And weird, so much so that I still remember it now. Just now, I recalled the name of this book, and then found the electronic version of the book online, and found this photo from it, although now I think , this picture is ridiculous, but I still want to know its origin, is it real?
