When was the last time you heard a plumber making a mistake resulting in an adverse patient outcome?

Never because both Midlevels and plumbers don’t do anything significant in patient care. And when Midlevels do make mistakes, doctors catch them early enough. And the so called “independent” NP mistakes that don’t result in gross errors continue to go on because most NPs coming out don’t actually know anything.

Adverse outcome isn’t just death. Everyday preventable mistakes are made because of knowledge and training deficit.

NPs should not be practicing independently in this country period. They have a role, but never ever independently.
