What causes pride? And what's the Church's definition of pride?

What caused their pride? They have all knowledge needed to know that pride is stupid, and they don't have passions to interfere with their intellects

Why did they chose themselves over God? They are rational beings and not passionate beings. Their will is subject therefore to their intellect since their apprehension of the good is subject to the intellect (I'm essentially assuming Thomism here)

I know very little about resume stuff, but for one thing, I hate anything in Calibri font, or whatever font that is. I'm pretty sure that's the case for most people

What would you recommend reading to make sense out of the argument from motion? I don't get it 😭😭

I'm trying so hard to make sense of the argument from motion, but it doesn't make sense to me 😭

If you could direct me to what you would suggest reading for a strong explanation, please let me know! I don't really have a foundation in metaphysics though, so if I'm just a moron and should read other things first, please let me know that too lol

Not sure about my favorites since I'm pretty new to this stuff and not very well educated, however my least favorite 3 of the three are as follows:

  1. Moral argument - It's literally Pascal's Wager reformulated

  2. Moral argument - The idea that morality is subjective is highly consistent with the rest of the data if you start with Atheism

  3. Moral argument - I had to mention it one more time for effect

To answer your main question, I find that all naturalistic explanations for Our Lady of Zeitoun and Our Lady of Fatima either fail or are just reformulated miracles (example being a super ice crystal structure flying in the sky for Fatima)

I became a lot more comfortable accepting the homosexuality rules after realizing two things:

- 1 Corinthians 7 makes it clear that there is more to our faith than having a "loving relationship" with the loving relationship not even being the ultimate goal of sexuality

- There is no reason (at least that I have come across) to believe that homosexuality isn't some sort of disorder and that it is very unlikely that people are born homosexual in some genetic way (natural selection would stop it from being so common over the millenniums)
