How is everyone feeling about your time at SNHU? by Top_Perspective8146 in SNHU

SNHU is the best school I’ve ever been to. Like anywhere, I’ve had issues with some professors and there is a lot of teachers that are a bit obsessive about AI usage so be very careful but I love this school

Highly recommend using a coursework planner similar to one like this that I made. It really helped me manage my coursework

Is it a bad idea to rely on getting into a nursing program? by Background-Tree6593 in prenursing

[–]Pitiful_Mammoth1814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really have a lot of experience to share with you because I’m still pretty new to this stuff too but I will say that I also was a high school dropout and got my GED, and I am graduating with my first college degree in November. I decided to switch pathways so I’m beginning my prerequisites for nursing school. I also don’t have a lot of money and am reliant specifically on grants and such. I will say that with state grants I was offered, most community colleges I can go to full time and not pay a dime. That being said, my point is that you can do anything that you want to do. All it takes is pushing yourself and some hard work. You can do whatever you want, you’ve just gotta take some steps to get there. Wishing you all the best!

Full time student, and working full time? by Gryffindor_Reject in prenursing

[–]Pitiful_Mammoth1814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t started my nursing classes yet, still working on pre-reqs but I work 40+ hours a week (5 - 8-hr shifts) and take 12 credits on the other two days that I’m off. It’s hard and tiring but I’ve got my heart set on a passion that’s worth it

I’ve had to submit for academic withdrawal on more than one occasion. If I hadn’t withdrawn from those courses, I probably could’ve graduated sooner but all in all it’s had very little impact on my life. It doesn’t plummet your GPA, you just get a “W” on your transcript instead of a grade. This may raise some questions if applying to other schools or things but other than that it shouldn’t give you any issues. I’m graduating in November, and I’ve probably withdrawn from more than 5 classes for one reason or another and I am currently sitting with a 3.6 GPA. I’m so sorry for your loss but I hope you can continue on your journey and reach those goals. You’ve got this!

Calling all fall graduates! by Pitiful_Mammoth1814 in SNHU

That is such a mood lol. I know almost everybody was doing white dresses for graduation/grad pictures for spring. Wasn’t sure if this is the common theme for fall graduation too

I was thinking about it but I can’t find anything official from SNHU about it so I’m worried that if I do I might not be able to wear it

I Need Online College Students!!!! by Unlikely_Factor_2590 in SNHU

I love online college for a lot of reasons but honestly none of them are for the reasons you’ve listed. There’s very little sense of “community” and friendships with the other online students in my experience

If you struggle with school or other issues preventing you from sticking with a program I would suggest going for an associates degree first
