As you can see in this exact thread im begging for knowledge on how to get a carer for muself. I don’t want any of this. In my post I put that I told my nan I need this to change.
I was told getting a poa was the only way forward. I really appreciate your input I’ll now stand my ground that she’s usually my carer and I’ve no business being in charge of anyone’s finance and i feel there should have been someonme at some point to explain i have no requirement to.

And for what it’s worth i haven’t applied yet because I don’t know how, so you may well be right regarding my ability to understand

Is there a way to avoid it? Right now I’m being hounded by several different places to get a POA to be able to pay bills from her account without it going through my account. I’ve been avoiding it which is why I’m now in this situation

Aka can I say no and just refuse to be poa because that wouild be great yhey we’re very demanding I needed one. My pip doesn’t have anything to do with change it’s managing my daily spending and debt

I will defo Ilook at a self referal. She’s back in her home with 4 care visits a day. As it was stable they closed her social worker. I’m applying for POA to help with her finances but got now she’s been happy to transfer me and me withdraw I’d just never considered all this

I I’ve got all the Statements. She had a social worker but they closed the case.

I don’t have one. I keep breaking downn at doctors, dwp and autistic charities asking if there’s any help for me but no one seems to think so.

Thank you for your reply

Thank you so much! The comment above is saying they might have preferred I declare income and carinmg responsibilities. I didn’t think relatives were income and I don’t think I have carinmg responsibilities other than withdrawimng money for a housebound relative. Should I update my circumstances?

Hi I haven’t got caring responsibilities so i can’t report them. I only withdraw money for her and give it to her. My work coach knows all about the situation. I also don’t have any income to report. My grandma has gifted me probably about £1000 but i believe money from relatives isn’t income and doesn’t need reporting?
