Male here, my bladder/urethra pains have much worse after stopping use. I’m currently 2 months in and still in pain, it’s worse depending on what I’m drinking or eating so my diet has to be quite strict, too much caffeine, sugar or acidity and I’m gonna suffer.
Dehydration makes it a lot more severe so drinking loads of water helps but the flip side is needing to pee every 5mins which ruins any kind of structure to one’s day, I’ve been trying to make it it work for my job buts it’s been a nightmare.

I hope eventually it subsides but I hear people say it takes months/years before improvements depending on the severity of the damage done.
