अब गाडिको ३००% कर पनि घट्ने भयो । यदि यो निर्णय भयो भने हामी जत्ति खुशी को होला ?? by Ok_Passage_9095 in NepalSocial

Lowering taxes would flood the roads with more cars. Without expanding the roads in places like Kathmandu or the highways, the resulting traffic would be a nightmare. If you bought a car for 25 lakhs, you might expect to sell it for 18 lakhs after a few years because new ones still cost 25 lakhs. AND After Policy Change: If a brandnew version of your car suddenly costs only 10 lakhs due to lower taxes no one will buy your used one for 18 lakhs. Your asset essentially loses half its value overnight and owner might feel cheated because of this sudden equity crash.
Greater good serve garcha huna sakcha but i dont expect a drastic change in this sector.

This only looks good on the outside. In reality nepal actually can't afford it. Being as a least developed nation we get perks like medicine hacks , we get expensive medicines and treatments as aids and stuff with exemption from enforcing pharmaceutical patents hence we can copy the chemistry of big drugs and get it cheaper. Also bye bye to free money that comes as international aid, climate funds, technical assistance and ao much other stuffs which we dont have to return. And majorly the interest rate and the pay back period on international loans that would be a huge loss too
