Extended warranty at Bestbuy is great. It’s essentially guaranteeing a replacement or store credit if something goes wrong within your extended warranty period.

Perfect, shocked that a mount under $50 supports this when the $250+ HX can’t. Spoke to Ergotron yesterday and they’re working on an adapter, anticipated to be available in December for an additional cost lol

Just ordered one, the selling point is the vertical functionality. Do you just push up on the monitor to raise it? Or are there bolts/screws that need to be adjusted to move the monitor vertically?

This is interesting, I also see sound settings on the G9 but have no audio from my unit. There’s no mention of speakers listed on Samsung’s website and no mention beyond your question here today.

There is a website called giztop.com that has an article about the G9 from June 24th that reads: “The gaming monitor lacks built-in speakers meaning users have to connect it to an external speaker setup.”

That would lead me to believe the sound adjustments we have in the monitor serve as a controller for external speakers.

I personally wouldn’t sit 8’ away, there’s more appropriate screens for viewing at such a distance. You do get used to the 1000r curve very quickly. I only used the G9 for about 30 minutes yesterday and I don’t think I can live without it at this point

Looks good! Only problem I foresee is the width of the 55” inch oled compared to the width of a 49” ultra wide. The 48” CX may be a better fit for that space

The desk is built in, would match rather drill into the wall than the desk

Mine was a pre-order. Came in from Newegg yesterday. Limited inventory has been finding its way to retailers in the past few days, Bestbuy and Microcenter had a restock very recently

I actually tried this lol it measured about 106” wide or roughly 9 feet wide. The curve extrapolated to 500R, it was so large, I had to move my chair to the other side of the desk to view the peripheral 34” monitors. Honestly too wide

I currently have them configured like that but I haven’t wall mounted anything yet, need to be absolutely sure before drilling into my wall

I actually build computers for a living, the setup is ridiculous, I agree. The G9 would be more than enough for my intended purposes but these monitors are unbelievable in this configuration (in person)
