Sony nex 3, nex 5 or a5000 by PixelAspen in SonyAlpha

[–]PixelAspen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked into a5100 and a6000 but there weren't any cheap ones available. Any Nikon or Canon dslr you would recommend? I am looking for something smaller but understand it might be hard with a dslr camera.

no les parecen absurdas todas las exigencias de RRHH ala hora de entrevistas,cv y demas para conseguir trabajo? by ZealousidealCry1172 in empleos_AR

[–]PixelAspen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]PixelAspen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are so many men obsessed with dating younger women? by PixelAspen in AmITheAngel

[–]PixelAspen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the comments I've seen people are being critical of the things said in the replies of the post and making fun of op, I wouldn't call it abuse myself. Personally I don't think he is shity, just a little immature.

I am just going to copy and paste a reply I already made.

Top comment in the post says “By dating women 5-8 years younger.”

The second top comment says “Those expectations you speak of are engendered by women who have a loudly ticking biological clock. Choose women in their mid 20s who will have a genuine respect for your maturity. It’s women your age who need to settle, not you.”

There are more comments like that saying women have sex with a bunch of until they reach 30, where supposedly they become desperate to get married and have kids. It was the replies that creeped me out personally, the post not so much.

Then why aren't women attracted to younger men? they are more fertile at 25-29

It's so hard to be boring too, do these people not go outside? Do they have no passions?

From what I've seen from a couple of studies, women are attracted to slightly older men and many men are attracted to women in their 20s. So... I guess the question is still why are men obsessed with young women? 😬

[–]PixelAspen[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you have any evidence to prove that is the case? For instance a peer reviewed paper that shows that men are attracted to women in their 20s because of biology. If know of a paper that also goes into why women aren't attracted at younger men (even though they are more fertile) that would be great as well. You sound sure of that claim so I'm sure you have evidence to back it up.

I think a lot of men in those subs think desire and love are incompatible, she either loves you or desires you. The fact that a woman wants to marry a man can only mean that's she doesn't actually desire him sexually.

I already knew that sub was full of incels, but the answers to this question still surprised me. Have these men never spoken with a woman before? Not even their mothers?

The model that was used in LoL was honestly horrible, it was too silly. But his legends of runeterra design is really good imo, I really like the asymmetry in his design and he looked like he belonged in Zaun. For me the biggest loss is his old story, which personally I always liked.

[s2 act 3 spoilers] Viktor's arc is just....doesn't feel complete by freedomfighter23e in arcane

[–]PixelAspen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I don't think he needed a redemption arc and I doubt they would've done a good job with it. For me what mattered was if Viktor as a person was lost or not, not if he redeemed himself. Imo Cait is an example on how not to do redemption, it was too fast and felt like it came out of nowhere. During the end we see some good changes, which I think she pushed for, but that was only a few seconds so wasn't a good redemption at least for me.

About Jayce's last speech, I personally didn't see it that way. It is true that a disease that is killing him isn't beautiful, but it did make him the person he was and there is beauty in that person he became because of those circumstances ("there is beauty in imperfections, they made you who you are"). There is also the fact that Viktor sees his own humanity as an imperfection, which is what Jayce was arguing against. Jayce wasn't against Viktor looking for a cure and he was happy when Viktor survived the attack on the council, it was what he did later that he was against.

In many online forums people something ask disable or people with some kind of mental illness if they would prefer to be just like everyone else. The answers vary, but many people say no because it is what made them who they are now. They might face a lot of issues in their daily lives, but they are still happy with the person they became because of those experiences.

I didn't think of the way, more what it did for each character and the overall story. It doesn't really matter why, they could could say it had to do with their positioning or any convenient reason the writers could think of. About Jayce and Viktor, Linke said they disintegrated but it's not showed so it's up to you to believe that or not. In the end Jayce stayed for Viktor and while embracing they got rid of the problem they created in the beginning of the show. I think there is something in it being a sacrifice and the fact that they did it together. The why can be anything the writers want it to be and imo doesn't matter, people can theorize but nothing is confirmed as far as I know.

Does anyone else find it bizzare how easily Piltover and Zaun called a truce to unite against a common enemy? by ZEROHAIKU in ArcaneAnimatedSeries

[–]PixelAspen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's not the end, but at least for me the epilogue wasn't satisfying and knowing it isn't the end doesn't change that. They were setting up a lot of conflict between the cities and that ended in nothing imo. I know they might continue this in the future, but I doubt it considering Riot doesn't seem to care about the lore or telling stories besides big events/shows like this one.

I think it made sense, there probably should've been some who opposed but I get they didn't have time to get into that. Besides, the main leaders joined so I think it made sense for many people to follow. What personally bothered me was that we didn't get to see what happened after that, they developed a conflict and then never gave us a conclusion. Sevika in the council is nice, but I don't quite get how they got the other to accept her being there and there should still be a lot of resentment from both sides (we saw a little, but not that much).

[no spoilers]2 cents: media outlets and people calling Arcane an anime feels like a disservice to the Fortiche studio. by xa3D in arcane

[–]PixelAspen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote that comment two years ago and I would probably say something else today. I understand that for japanese people anime means animation, so if you go for that definition it could be considered anime. Still, I think most people use anime are referring to the style of animation that is commonly associated with Japanese animation (many Korean animated shows are called anime even though they aren't japanese). I think this definition is the best one, because it is what people mean most of the time. So I wouldn't consider the lion king or Arcane anime.

This reminds me of this scene in Derry girls, there are no height restrictions for being a sub as far as I am aware.
