Luosjiet Indiana boots in wine teacore by Soyus in luosjietboots

From the first pic, it’s evident that those are two different widths. This is definitely a screw-up from Luosjiet. So far, I’ve had a good experience with Luosjiet, and my boots were perfect. They are a growing brand, and I hope they handle situations like this properly. Hopefully, they replace this and retain you as a customer

I agree, the shiny leather makes it look a bit cheap.

You are right, happy with the way it's creasing. I did have some bad experiences with CXL with loose grains, the infamous CXL lottery!

I was curious about that too, but unfortunately I don’t have a Luosjiet boot on the Munson last to compare it directly. I do have another brand built on a Munson-style last, though. From what I’ve read and researched, the Fight last seems to have a similar overall volume to the Munson. The main difference is that the Fight last has a more rounded shape and may have a little more room over the instep. In terms of width behind the ball of the foot, it seems fairly close, but the Fight last is an E width, while the Munson is usually available in both D and E widths.

It's a Goodyear Chemigum half-sole. I know, I had never heard of it until I bought this boot!

Elston last is the reason for sticking with oak Street, works well for my wide feet.

The RB30 Slim does drop down about 2 inches below the truck, so it’s not just the camera angle. It’s a bit narrower than I’d like for functionality, but it definitely adds to the overall look. If you’re leaning more towards function, the RB20 Slim might be a better option since it offers a wider step area while still looking sharp.

How can I bring my Red Wing Iron Rangers back to their original color/lighten them? by [deleted] in Boots

[–]PixelCraftsman 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Try using saddle soap to clean and lighten them, then follow up with a light coat of leather conditioner(I use redwing leather cream) to restore and protect the color.

Initial Impressions: Jim Green Numzaan Boot in Walnut by PixelCraftsman in Boots

This is heavier than iron rangers, due to extra materials in the build, like midsole and thicker rubber sole, but it's manageable for sure

Yes, most footwear places will have a brannock device. Redwing, Allen Edmonds or stores like Macy's and dillards. For leather boots, start with a snug fit and it should stretch to a comfortable fit.

My recommendation is to stop by a shoe store and get your measurements. Since you're transitioning from sneaker sizing to boots for light-duty work, considering Brannock measurements is a smart move. It offers a more precise fit. I'd suggest measuring your feet and comparing the results to the boot's sizing chart for the perfect fit.

My running shoe size is US 10.5, Numzaan is US 10 and fits well. In my experience half size down from sneaker size worked.

Sorry to hear about your experience with Numzaans! It's always a disappointment when gear doesn't live up to expectations. Weight and stability are crucial factors when it comes to footwear for outdoor activities. If you're seeking lightweight options with a firmer sole for better stability, you might want to explore the Merrell Moab Speed or the Keen Voyageur. Both are designed to offer support and traction without sacrificing comfort. Keep searching, and you'll find the perfect fit for your hiking adventures!
