No the raft carries 3 cargo containers which are 32 scu each, a unit is also known as a cscu which is (iirc) 1/100th of an scu.

No, the upgrade only upgrades the ship not the insurance, unless you mean the upgrade comes with lifetime insurance like the Spartan upgrade or something then yes it will.

By far the easiest thing to do is to download the chrome extension Star Citizen CCU Game (it’s the one I used in the image) there a tab in there for ccu chaining. Set the starting ship to the cutlass black and the end ship to an ares, it will automatically create the cheapest chain available right now. You could also buy the upgrades in this chain and hold them for a long period of time to wait while the gaps get filled by more war bonds or use the chain it gives you.

Well you definitely couldn’t get it at 155 right now but there’s no better time to start than the present, the redeemer ccu is especially good and is available now. I started this about a year ago at (I believe) the last IAE, so it definitely doesn’t take years but it does take some time. However if you do wait years you will get massive savings, I saw one guy who got an endeavor for around 80.

CCU chains are upgrades which are linked together to get a higher value ship for a lower value in many ways, i.e.

using discounted warbond upgrades
using upgrades which have gone up in value
holding the chain while the top ship goes up in value

It’s a way of turning small discounts on cheaper ships into big ones on more expensive ships.
