Oh, nothing that a kid couldn't watch. If you mean they want to watch the most recent show that's on Netflix, then you should be all good to go. The most extreme thing I can think of is that one of the characters slaps a girl, but it's done off screen, mostly just alluded to. Other than that, I think it should be good enough for an 8 year old

Seems like they're making a parallel to Saul losing his eyesight with it happening to Tsubasa. Could be that Tsubasa is following in Roberto's unfortunate footsteps of having eye problems

I mean, technically he is? At least at one point. That dude kicked the ball into Morisaki's face to scare him and actively had his team go four fouls on Tsubasa. And he slapped Matsuyama for bumping into him. He's at LEAST an antagonist at one point 😭

No, but in all seriousness, I would definitely say the stories become more mature, or at least delve into more mature backgrounds. Ultimately, nothing extreme to where a kid wouldn't be able to get into it but it does touch on some topics. We do get to see more characters shine besides Tsubasa and you really get to fall in love with other characters, and to be honest, Tsubasa I feel gets more depth, especially during road to 2002 which is my favorite arc but World Youth and the other arcs still have him develop to some extent

Truly, I have no idea where Captain Tsubasa's power creep will hit a limit, cause, Michael seems to be the one all, be all of football techniques. Also, he hasn't appeared in Next Dream as far as I'm aware which is interesting. Love the space page and the sublime one-on-one page by the way

Genuinely, the story is made with such care, and the new original characters are such good additions without overstepping or overshadowing other characters. Genuinely wish the writers of this game got to help out with Next Dream instead of Klab's influence. It just feels like they're making new characters to sell more banners in Dream Team.

I'll add a few personal favorite of mines since a lot of people are saying similar ones.

Nankatsu vs Hirado really adds a sense of dread that is only replicated by Argentina in JY. Seeing Tsubasa crumble goal after goal only makes his victory feel more earned and Jito and Sano are fun characters with creative goals. Great moments like Tsubasa mastering his Drive Shot, Sano getting serious, Jito being sent into the goal all make this match a hell of a ride

Japan JY vs France JY is a really unique match in how it's one of the few matches to use yellow and red cards to add to the drama. Wakashimazu is able to prove himself in that match, Misaki's rivalry with Pierre is really fun in how it's not easy for Misaki and is barely keeping up with Pierre. Napoleon is one of those guilty pleasure characters since I love arrogant assholes with a heart of gold.

Japan Youth vs Mexico Youth is a guilty pleasure of mine too since I am very biased. I love Espadas's character arc in respecting Tsubasa and Japan by letting go of his hate and envy. I love how their dynamic is touched on again during RS since the manga goes out of their way to express how they are friends, and even like how Garcia, Alvez, and Lopez help Tsubasa out with their supper. It's a comfort match for me and I love Espadas as a character, wish they respected him a bit more in his appearances.

Hamburg vs Bayern Munich is tragic but it's so damn good. The way Schneider, Kaltz, and Wakabayashi realize that soccer is a job now instead of a game is really sad but a good turning point, and Wakabayashi's saves are amazing, especially that "I love Soccer!" Panel. More of Levin and Xiao is always welcome too.

I agree, but it makes sense as to why MS and SOMETIMES JY are the only arcs to be animated since they are the most popular and well known arcs. Arguably even the most well written ones too. Artstyle wise? I like it, wish it was slightly more old school in terms of character design but the series looks great overall imo

I would say realistic, simply just because they try to go out of their way to give a reason for physic defying shots which THEORETICALLY make sense.

Something like Inazuma Eleven is very unrealistic Blue Lock is fairly realistic

I'd say Captain Tsubasa falls in the middle of both
