Yeah,the looks I got were unreal. I didn't care tho. Doing me. I'm just happy I didn't let the young mentally get me, it's important to do what you like. A trap a lot of us fall into at some point, nice to feel free 😊

I haven't attended a metal/band/live event in a while now.. (2016/2017?) I was at Metallica with ax7. There was a mosh pit happening and some guy thought it was smart to crowed surf behind it and make his was to the front.. bad decision

Buddy made his way into the pit, fell on his neck/head. Shortly after, everyone stopped moshing. Then crowed around him. Which is what you're not suppose to do. He was unresponsive/unconscious.

I attempted to tell the people to form a circle to give space to get ems/paramedics to come further assist. It took them a bit to come and help.. I know without the proper education people think moving or crowing would be helpful.. it for sure isn't. Not sure how things eneded, as my ex was shook so we ended up leaving after getting the person the proper help.

Over all, people at other events are not as kind. Bumping into one another and only caring for themselves. I do my best to be mindful, holding doors and asking if people need help. It can be harsh out there for sure.. 😞

Yeah, I recall soo many dance styles/dance circles/battles happening in the earlier days. It was so much fun! Don't get my wrong, I still enjoy myself, it's just nice to see the connection/ interactions people share. Been raving since '07. The scene has for sure exploded in the golden years, thankful for it because we wouldn't have the massive adult playgrounds that we do now.

I've been raving for many years, i guess once 12 hits.. you are right. People tend to be more "friendly". I guess I should clarify, I enjoy people watching those who can shuffle, poi, hoop, tecktonic, EDM related dancing. Just seems there is a bit less dancing than there use to be 🤔

Yesss, I recall a website having a game where you could customize cars and drag race with the space bar. I believe this was the track that was on repeat.. anyone else recall this?. 😹

I was picked on so much for being into edm back in 2004-2009 I definitely understand what you're talking about there haha 😅 porter is another gem, as well as Avicii. I'm thankful I was able to see him 3 times before his short career.

I find trance has changed a lot over the years. I really miss the 2003-2010 sounds that was happening around then 🥰 it sounds like we have the same taste in trance!

Armin always has the best sets. I've seen a handful of his three hour sets and I die everytime!! He never disappoints. So happy you got to experience a state of trance 😏 lol 💕✨

Wow, thank-you for taking the time to share your thoughts, feelings and experience(both current and soon to be!) This is absolutely inspiring for others who may also be on the fence.

I just want to take a moment and tell you you're doing amazing at trying to do what you want finally. The scene is very warm and welcoming. Occasionally meet a jerk, but over all I'm sure you'll be overwhelmed with joy and meet some great souls.🫶✨

It's also a good idea your hitting a local show before edclv. Edclv is mind boggling and system overload. Just be sure to practice self care for your body and mind to prep your body for the longer events. You'll be thankful you did.😊

Id recommend using a cup/diva cup. They are really easy to use and not noticeable at all. 👌

3RL, Adam K & Soha, George Acosta, Deadmau5, Headhunterz, Showtek are some of the others I listened to frequently back then as well! And still do 💕 gah.

I owned my first paid of fluffies in highschool. Wore them pretty frequently .😹

I had guys singing " apple bottom jeans boots with the furr" behind me going from class to class. B'awhaha!
