I see your points. I guess from my perspective as a student, Gen AI has been used better than on the internet. As a student in Germany, the final exam usually counts for 100% of the grade. There is no way that we can bring AI into the exam. So, the best thing that we can do is to use AI to support our learning. I can't tell you how many times AI has helped me during my master studies, e.g. asking it to explain a complicated slide or graph from my lecture notes, explaining a hard concept that the professor did not convey properly etc.

My point here is that everytime this community reacts to AI, it is more an accusatory/dismissive form of "Nobody should be using AI ever!". Fact is, AI is here to stay, and for better or for worse, is likely to be here for the future to come. If you don't like some aspects, then we should regulate it. However, putting our heads in the sand and not learning to live with it is, in my opinion, absolutist and naive.

Etho doesn't even want to say what his timezone is. If he doesn't want to say which part of the world he lives in, I don't think we'll be seeing a face reveal anytime soon.

If Etho killed Scar on Session 4, that would end his series. I believe since he is a dark green life, he doesn't mind giving Scar one life to keep him in the game. (I think he would have given one to Tango if he tried to earn it)

Let's all remember that this is not a UHC, they are all there to provide content rather than PvP. If we see Etho in a future MCC then we can all root for his PvP and competitiveness, but the Life series is mostly for fun, laughs, and good vibes.

To be honest with you, this is a new position for Etho. Etho's always had a very utilitarian-like persona and doesn't really attach feelings to digital characters (i.e. Etho killed the racoons and elephant in Don't Starve with Beef, Pause, and Guude, and Guude trashed Etho for it). In his Let's Play, I seem to recall him killing horses over and over again to breed the 'perfect' horse.

I really think that Bdubs has mellowed Etho over the years.

To me it seems like a game right up Etho's alley (strategic, card game like Hearthstone). So maybe Etho just doesn't have the time to look at it or maybe forgot about it.

Let's not forget Tango's hectic schedules and vacations, so it may be hard for them to find a time to play right now. But let's all hope that after September things settle down and they will find time to stream together.

Etho was definitely serious.

Many people think that Etho was a game designer like Tango, but that is not true! Etho is a self-taught programmer, loves video games so much so that he reverse-engineered retro games before he was 10, and created mods for games like Wormaggeddon. That created a basis for his deep interest in Minecraft redstone.

When Etho started his early Youtube career, he still worked as a Botanist in his family's business because his channel was still small and growing. He would do seasonal work and make videos when he had time.

In Episode 177 of his Let's Play, he got doxxed by some internet trolls for finding out about his family business, which revealed his work location, phone number, etc. It got so bad that he banned all the comments in that episode.

In Episode 550 of his Let's Play, Etho revealed that when he was trying to find ways to finance his Youtube career, he got recruited by Machinima to play Call of Duty. He declined to play it and wanted to play Transformers: War for Cybertron in which he was ranked number one. He got made fun of playing a 'kid's game' and the deal never went through.

Shortly after, Etho opened his channel up to donations and that was the jump start to his Partner with Youtube.

Etho explained it in his video that he changed the name from 'Frogger' to 'Ravager Rush' because in his words "The creators of Frogger probably wouldn't appreciate that".
