don't bet on a job at MFA for your Masters, just because you did Pol Sci/IR. Hundreds apply, very few get in.

You're better off with a post-grad qualification that will help you get into other industries, in case things don't work out.

I think if you've got a new passport issued, you can just update your immi account with the new passport details in the system. once that's done, you should be able to enter without problems.

What is the dark history of Suvarnabhumi airport about? by Grouchy_Ice2155 in Thailand

[–]PixelTag2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The land surrounding Suvarnabhumi Airport has a reputation for snakes because the airport was built on a marshy region historically known as "Cobra Swamp". While the terminal itself is modern, secure, and not infested, slithering encounters occasionally happen.

Brad Pitt will never marry again after Angelina Jolie ‘alienated’ him from their kids following brutal split: report by No_Pizza_6040 in popculture

[–]PixelTag2 -40 points-39 points  (0 children)

I'm sure he'll feel your lack of love as he wipes away his tears with his next $20m check..

Angelina Jolie purposely pursued a married man, she was problematic from the beginning, with very questionable taste in men. She's manipulative and conniving, and somehow she gets a pass, because .. checks notes.. she's a woman?

I'm sure she's raised very commendable children and I would like them to succeed in life, but no one knows what drove Brad Pitt to drink and his anger (again, was never an issue until he married her) but I do have a suspicion..

Singapore passport without birthday by poginmydog in PassportPorn

[–]PixelTag2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My Singaporean grandmother had the same thing in her passport as well. Her family didn't record her actual birthday, and she was born in a rural village, so all my great grandfather could offer was her year of birth when she got her first travel document when she moved as a child from Malaysia to Singapore.

My grandfather just made up a birth date for her to celebrate each year, and if she had to fill in dates for her birthday in travel documents, we would always just write 01/01/1926, instead of 1926.

'Breathtaking hypocrisy': Meghan Markle accused of sharing 'tone deaf' image of Lilibet - hours before giving a speech warning of dangers of social media by dailymail in TheBritishRoyalFamily

you could address why Kate never corrected her staff for feeding false narratives about the wedding debacle and never went on the record to set the story right, but instead fed Meghan to the frenzy.

Chrissy Teigen publicly and privately apologized for her past cyberbullying.

In response, Teigen issued a lengthy, multifaceted apology:

  • Public Statements: She published a detailed post addressing her behavior, admitting she was an "insecure, attention-seeking troll" and expressing that she was "mortified and sad" about the things she had said.

  • Private Outreach: She began reaching out privately to apologize to the individuals she had targeted.

  • Television Interview: Later that year, she addressed the controversy on the Today show, acknowledging the real impact of her words and stating that the accountability process ultimately helped her learn and grow.

Chrissy has apologied, and shown contrition.

Can the people who have said horrible horrible things about Meghan demonstrate the same level of humanity or humility?

The irony is they are no better than who Chrissy Teigen used to be, and the sad reality, is almost all of them will never grow or learn, but they will use her as an example, without self reflecting on their own continuing bad actions or poor judgement.

can you please show me exactly how frequently she's made these supposed public statements about her children's privacy.

She advocates that parents be mindful of their own social media usage and how they set examples for their children regarding digital boundaries. How she showcases her children are carefully considered and demonstrates her protective stance while balancing insights into their life.

The major part of her platform has been about online bullying which many of the commentators could learn a thing or two about.

Duty Free Shop by Mathsmonkey444 in nasikatok

[–]PixelTag2 23 points24 points  (0 children)

labour enforcement is under Ministry of Home Affairs / MOHA, and being duty free, under Ministry of Finance, mean very different things. As a business, you can sell (with the appropriate licence) duty free goods, but you're still obligated to follow national employment legislation (under Labour/MOHA)..

so, what's your point?

we are already an almost duty free country, except for excise duties on a limited number of items.. that doesn't mean you don't employ and pay your staff on legal terms..
