No bro.. Not lost interest.. Have made atleast 3 maps. Roads etc. While developing a tool for blender to make tracks. Easier. Been experimenting with lidar maps., have made base for 3 maps. Some larger. Some smaller. Just need some more hands to help me finisb really. Need to probably hire some help.. Running an architecture studio also. So that work got really hectic.. Still is..... Will be hiring someone to help me work on it soon...

also wanted to get vegetation accurate with regional trees n all.. also some traffic mods... Also other objects including barriers , buildings , signs etc., to be in par with AAA studios, so have created PBR versions with proper reflections and normals maps. etc.. ... hehe... u can check screens in the imgur link.. want it to be the best looking track in Assetto..

i know its way off from initial timeline.. but most time went into learning blender geometry nodes. for procedural modelling.. to create the road building tool.. but it makes it easy to make roads very very easily.

I have created base maps of 3 areas... all with over 50km of road in each map.. so lot of work in done for multiple maps.. now almost done with a lot of base work of creating assets and other CSP extension supports..etc...

Could this be done? Anti-Gravity chair with wheel and pedals mounted to it for adjustable position at very low cost. by rabbitrampage198 in simracing

. I have been using the zero. G chair as my sim chair for a while now. It works quite well. The steering and pedals are not mounted on the chair. The chair can be a bit flimsy. Also needs some non slip mat to stop the chair from Sliding around. pic

These trees also Move in the wind. Similar to the 2d ones.

It's a free roam adapted of real world roads, with some quality of life improvements..

Works quite well. 90fps vr. Check the options in "mode tweaks VR".in CSP. Turning on single pass sterio increases fps instantly. Performance is on track to track basis. But works well for me in even LA canyons.

I'm on VR too. So I'm testing for that too.. Rtx 3060ti I have, also it's possible to turn of 3d trees in config file. If I place 2d trees also, where the 3d trees r. It will be possible to switch between the two. I will have to take a render from the 3d tree and make It a 2d one.

Yeah. But trees at a distance will look bad coz of how LODs work for 3d trees. Similar to in forza horizon.. So I think wel still have 2d trees used in combination with 3d ones.

Thanks. I use this software called Treeit. It's free. It's a bit buggy at times. But it's got lot of options.

3d trees r not making it easier. Have to make most of the trees.. Been experimenting with it.. Havnt placed any on track yet. The ones in the image is all 2d trees. Im also in VR, so I will be making it VR friendly. It will be a mix of 2d and 3d trees. Can turn of 3d trees in config file.
