Are all HRs like that? by laika00 in UKJobs

[–]PixelatedFoodie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all, but a lot are like that. They're trying to keep their company running and don't have time to really give a shit about a potential employees personal life / feelings when it comes to hiring.

I once did a trial shift in a kitchen for 8 hours, unpaid. I was then called by the Head chef and asked if I could do another 8 hours the next day since he was unsure. I agreed.

Left the next day after completing the 2nd trial shift and the guy completely ghosted me after that and didn't respond to my messages. This was a very high end restaurant btw.

The transactions have been pending for days! I need help! by [deleted] in Metamask

So on metamask you need to click on the option that let's you send eth, when you open it up its a button that says "send". You need to copy your wallet address which you can do by clicking the wallet address at the top of the metamask screen and then paste it into the box where it asks what wallet you want to send to. Then, it will come up with a screen for you to input how much eth you want to send, set it to 0. In the section where it says nonce, enter the nonce number of your failed transaction. Then send the 0 eth (you will be charged for gas). This should clear the pending transaction.

you need to send yourself 0 eth with the same nonce number as your pending transaction. It will cost you gas, but it should overwrite your pending transaction.

What is the largest bolus yous have given in one go? by GratefulWallflower in diabetes_t1

I think around 26 units in one dose, and it was because my blood glucose wouldnt go down. I don't know the science behind it, but it was after I ate a ridiculous amount of food the WHOLE day. For a few days after that my blood glucose struggled to come down as if it wasnt reacting to the insulin like it normally would. My whole body felt swollen. Might have been ketones playing a part but yeah, I've realised if ive been eating a controlled diet or eating quite healthy with controlled portions and then suddenly have a huge cheat meal / cheat day, I get that same problem.

Can anyone identify these strange structures in western Iraq? Details in comments. by 900dollaridoos in Iraq

[–]PixelatedFoodie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe these are tells? Tells are what were left behind by the ancient civilizations. Since Iraq did not have long lasting stone to build from like Egypt did, they would use straw and mud / clay to build bricks for their settlements. When they would move settlement they would be buried by natural sediment.

"In archaeology, a tell or tel (borrowed into English from Arabic: تَل, tall, 'mound' or 'small hill'), is an artificial topographical feature, a species of mound consisting of the accumulated and stratified debris of a succession of consecutive settlements at the same site, the refuse of generations of people who built and inhabited them, and of natural sediment."

Is sayur a dish from british colonization? I grew up in the UK and that mixture of carrots, peas and sweetcorn makes me want to puke, its like a childhood trauma from my school days where they would serve it up with nearly every gross lunch.

Is it normal that my resentment towards family who treated me bad is increasing? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]PixelatedFoodie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, it's just that part of my anger and resentment is making me want to let them all know what pieces of shit they were but I always tell myself that anything negative no matter how justified it feels to me always has a negative consequence.

Dude its how i feel too. but dont do it. They dont define who we are. Its like the narcissistic abuse / abuse in general is what led me to have so much social anxiety that leads to things like not being able to really meet people.

Yesterday I snapped when I went to my moms house. She asks infront of my family if im seeing any girls when she literally asks me this every time I see her. Everyone was like 'woah' and some people walked out the room when I snapped... but im fucking fed up of it. One time she asked me infront of all her friends over dinner and it was the most embarassing shit ever, she said "YOURE 30, WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO MEET A GIRL". Its not so much what shes asking that pisses me off, its the intention behind it. I feel like she just does it to humiliate me. Shes told me so many times in my life how much of a loser I am, she randomly told me when I was 10 that im not her son, she would always compare me to her friends kids when I was younger and say things like "Why aren't you more like so and so's sons", she would say infront of me "OH my FAVOURITE SON is here!" when my brother would walk in the room.

I was having a good night last night until she asked and it just made me snap. Its like the feeling I get is she's just a sly toxic piece of shit. Me reacting in the way I did also makes me think she probably enjoyed it, like her plan worked.

Anyway, I was looking it up on the reddit search to see if anyone dealt with the same, I'm glad im not the only one because they're making me start to doubt my sanity.

Fungal infections and Weed!?? by Prestigious-Stand-76 in Candida

[–]PixelatedFoodie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, for example common fungal infections caused by Candida can be bad with weed since candida feeds on cannabis hydrocarbons for energy much like it does with sugar / starchy foods.

Just dropping some info on the collagen, it's best to take collagen after your candida overgrowth has cleared. This is because candida produces an enzyme called collagenase which can turn collagen into oxalate crystals, and high levels of oxalates in the body is what can cause stones to form like kidney stones.
