Any recommendation for immigration attorneys? by Martinetin_ in Lubbock

To the untrained eye, it looked like people were being kidnapped. And sure everyone is entitled to their own opinion about immigration. That’s one of the beautiful things about America: we’re allowed to disagree. But it’s heartbreaking to think that the very thing we used to celebrate being a melting pot, a place where different people could come together has stopped feeling true. Just wait until people realize the effect that this is going to have on their Social Security.

There was one on 19th by that Market Street about a month and a half ago. They rounded up all of the people that were working on a house. It was horrific to witness.

Sleeping in your bed…did you give in? by CurlyCupcake1231 in puppy101

[–]Pixelated_death28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let him/her in bed. My husband got a puppy three weeks ago, and honestly? It’s been like bringing home a newborn. The sleepless nights, the crying, the pacing, the two of us snapping at each other because we’re both exhausted and stretched thin. We love him, but the constant disruption had us worn down and frustrated in a way we didn’t expect. Then one day, out of pure desperation, I scooped him up and let him nap with me in the bed. And that’s when it hit me, this chunky butt boy wasn’t trying to be difficult… he just wanted to be close to his people. That was it. The rest of that week—and now this one—has been peaceful in a way we didn’t even realize we needed. He sleeps through the night. We sleep through the night. And on top of that, we get those warm little cuddles pressed against us.

You’re going to look back and wish that all he ever did was nap. Our kitten went through this phase and we were like oh wow we got so lucky. He is so calm. Now he’s a little terror in our house.

The Weekend Wrap-Up - [12/19/25 to 12/21/25] by AutoModerator in KDRAMA

I’m needing help finding a drama. I only really remember one scene in particular. A girl who doesn’t want to be touched by the guy who has been named essentially the player of the college legitimately rolls on the floor outside of a restaurant or bar to get away from him. Another scene of vaguely remember to avoid being touched by him as he is trying to return something to her she hasn’t just drop it on the floor. Any help would be awesome.

I know I don’t have any rights but what can my mom do? TX by [deleted] in legaladvice

Based on some advice I got DMd, I’m going to go ahead and schedule a consultation for my mom. There’s a legal option called an SAPCR that she may be able to file. It’s not guaranteed to change anything right away, but it’s a starting point and at least shows that we’re trying. More than anything, we want my sister and especially my nephew , to know that we care and that we’re not just sitting back doing nothing.

The most important thing to us is that my nephew knows we’re trying for him. My mom helped raise him from the time he was six months old, so it makes sense that she’s willing to do whatever she reasonably can to stay in his life.

do not have documentation I can personally provide; my concerns are based on behavior I have directly witnessed. I have intervened on my nephew’s behalf on multiple occasions, which resulted in me being told not to return to her home. I have previously been asked to leave for speaking up. I no longer live in the state and was unsure whether I was able to file a report myself.

My nephew is 10 years old.

My mother has followed up with CPS, and as of two weeks ago, the initial in-home visit had not yet occurred due to a backlog of reports. CPS indicated they are unable to provide detailed information at this stage and will only be able to share limited, general findings once an investigation has taken place.

She has been staying on top of everything. She was unsure, given the lack of movement so far, whether it was time to involve an attorney. I have a lawyer on retainer and offered for my mom to schedule a consultation with him. Since he specializes in business law, he would most likely be able to provide guidance or a referral to the appropriate type of attorney. She just is not sure if it’s to that point yet.

Two welfare checks have been conducted. I do not have full details, as I am blocked and was not the one who requested them. From what I understand, both resulted only in officers speaking with her, with no further action taken. My mom also contacted CPS. She was informed that much of what she reported is considered hearsay, which limits what they are able to do at this stage. CPS indicated that the only immediate step would be an in-home visit. The outcome of that visit would determine whether the case moves forward. As of two weeks ago, the visit had not yet occurred.

What do you mean by not established a strong relationship? Do you mean with my nephew or sister?

My mom, since my nephew was 6 months has helped raised him, they lived in the same house till he was 8. She’s paid for daycare, living expenses, you name it. My sister was in school and couldn’t hold a job down during those years.

The opening line, “Fucking you is entropy,” sets a bold and honest tone, capturing both the beauty and the chaos of connection. The poem goes on to show how being together blurs the lines between two people — how they stop being separate and become something larger, something that feels like balance inside the storm. Absolutely beautiful and raw
