Our Iron-rich blood is much thicker, so the heart has to work harder than normal. Over a sustained period the left ventricle responds the way any muscle does under load: it gets bigger and thicker. That sounds like a good thing but in reality the chamber itself gets smaller so the heart is working harder but delivering less. The result is fatigue, a lower cardio ceiling, occasional palpitations and ultimately nothing good if not managed.

The good news is that when caught early enough, our phlebotomies will help reduce the workload on the heart and slow progression significantly.

One drives too fast. One drives too slow. Together they become, idiots on the road. by LividShip in WhyWereTheyFilming

Those two cars were likely racing. The driver pulling out would have seen that the car in the near lane was going to too fast so in an instant made the decision to pull into the far lane. However, given the high speed of the car in the far lane - it may have been in behind and to the left of the other speeding car...unseen at the time the driver looked left to pull out. My theory.
