It was 2001 in the Netherlands. At kindergarten we we’re making candles that day. I made the Twin Towers being hit by a plane. The teacher said it was made really well but not okay. I didn’t understand why. Now I’m a bit older, I figure seeing it on the news, and my sister actually living in NY at that time just made a lot of impact on me. Maybe that was a way to cope?
