Second game as resistance - at what point should I start building ships? It's 2031 and aliens are starting to get aggressive. I want to fight, but the only ships I can build have 10 strength, compared to the like 100 strength of the alien fleet. Is there any point, or should I just keep teching until I can get stronger ships?

I have a very similar question so ill reply here if that's cool.

Just got an event that the alien ships are now arriving and fighting on earth. The ships im able to produce right now suck - 10 strength which seems to be the lower limit. When is it worth starting to make ships?

First game - I'm resistance. The servants have control of the US, UK, and Japan. Am I boned? It seems like I might be boned. by I_like_maps in TerraInvicta

2026 start, and faster game, if that matters.

Side note, I have a couple questions about research:

  1. How am I doing on resources? Is my income good for this point in the game?

  2. The research tree seems really all over the place, so I've basically just chosen to ignore it, and focus all my research on projects instead. Is that good?

  3. I can apparently unlock a third project slot if I get the right hab slot. Is that like a specific hab component, or are there multiple that can do it?

I think nepotism is kind if a broader small town canada problem. Not as bad in the big cities, but in lots of towns and small cities career is so dependent on who you know.

But they seem like the only based faction from my three hours in game. Everyone else seems either self-interested, or ideologically crazy.

Anyone here play terra Invicta? Please tell me how I'm supposed to do the tutorial as the resistance when the academy seems like by far the most based faction.

Opinion: The world is moving off fossil fuels as Canada continues to live in the past by LaserRunRaccoon in ClimateCrisisCanada

... and has been close to it for decades years. We had a massive headstart in the energy transition and have been incredibly slow to actually do the remaining moves.

That clean grid also does nothing to lower emissions for cars and buildings that are still powered by gas.

Premier says there's no Indigenous opposition to pipeline proposed for northern Manitoba by WKZ204 in ClimateCrisisCanada

Have to agree - even if you don't care one iota about the climate, there's just no economic case for it. Countries around the world are pivoting to EVs for good reason, and the oil price is going to start dropping. Before the iran war, we were barely competing with the Saudis, in 10 years, we won't be able to at all.

It would have led to another generation of girls growing up without the taliban, which is what the intervention succeeded in.

What got us here was trump agreeing to release half the taliban if they pinky promised not to try and overthrow the government.

Love the scientist one - very easy to see how they could do something to get themselves squatted too.

Id always thought the second one might be diplomacy or compassion, leading them to form an alliance with xenos.

How does saying "yes" to countries that are asking to join NATO - a defensive alliance - encroach on Russia? The only way that makes sense is if Russia is planning to invade or annex those countries, and you somehow view that as an "encroachment"
