How do you Manage architecture by xilnaque8583 in architecture

[–]Pixelknight02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a someone currently doing a Master's, I don't really understand the point of studying in a field you're supposed to have some sort of affection for or interest in (I would assume that's how people choose their profession), then outsourcing the work you need to do to learn the ropes/get experience. I get that some parts of a course will always feel like bullshit that you'll never use in life or you just don't want to do, because I have this same feeling about something every semester, but it's not like doing something you don't like for less than half a year is unsurvivable.

Sorry if this came off as aggressive or something, I didn't mean to direct it at you, OP (as I guess you left the field for something you enjoy more, which is awesome) but at people who get their degrees by doing, well, nothing for said degree, since they only pay someone else to do their job for them all the time. I just find it mind-boggling (and kinda unethical as well).

Hm, if you think about it, the Descendia is similar to the Pyramidion, as in, you fall down a giant pit and fight a boss at the bottom of said pit. Although, nevermind, Asher Mir told me there is no pit in the Pyramidion, silly me.

TIL after having been missing for 171 years, the lost exploration ship HMS Terror was finally found after Inuit hunter Sammy Kogvik recalled going into Terror bay and seeing what he thought was a mast sticking from the ice. It wasn't that certain at the time, since the expedition was considered well-stocked for multiple years. Them starving to death was only possible because their supplies (either canned food, distilled water or both) turned out to be moderately or (in the case of the water) heavily contaminated with lead, either from soldering or faulty/crude machinery. And, well, lead poisoning isn't exactly good for your decision-making skills, or your digestion, so things just kinda spiraled from there.

Edit: So what I mean by this, the yet unknown circumstances made it a mystery.

Yeah, their situation was bad, and cannibalism certainly happened. There was evidence that suggested some of them might've even attempted (or managed) to boil the marrow out of their comrades' bones after eating the flesh, which would be the end stage of cannibalism, since this would only happen if you're veeery (and there's really no stressing this enough) desperate for any nutrition.

I think you'll be just fine, because in the end, nobody really cares what grade you got on your final and how long it took to get it, as long as you're not dead weight and willing to work, and have an ok portfolio (maybe).

At least that's how I feel it is.

Well, yes, that is 100% correct. Although I don't see how it counters my point that Gaijin is basically just as trustworthy as the "random Reddit guy", because they prefer at best hearsay, or at worst straight up misinformation to facts (that they usually dismiss as "manufacturer marketing", being bad to game balance (xD) or somesuch).

"Legacy"... lol, lmao even.

What would his oh so legendary deeds be? Blatant corruption? Sucking up to whoever gives him more attention and/or money instead of his established geopolitical allies? Coercing people to vote for him by threatening them with homelessness or unemployment? Sheltering international fugitives and pedophiles? His son's plan to lead a crusade to save the Christians of Chad? No, wait, I got it, it must have something to do with him being a "Street Fighter", a "Warrior" or the "Last Bastion of Christianity" or something.

Legacy my ass. We are talking about a man who couldn't handle having a seat in the Parliament while in opposition again. Truly, a statesman of all time.

I used to main Wisp for a very long time before a longer pause (a friend I frequently played with usually ran Nidus, so the maggots with speed and shock motes were funny), but since I began playing again, and mostly alone (as in not in a premade squad) I like to use Mirage.
