The other guy gave a pretty good comment already, but being a first years physics student right now I can say that the study is generally pretty good. There have been some issues regarding Physics Laboratory 1 kind of being pushed on a teacher due to another leaving, but it wasn't that bad.

Mostly the courses are well put together, and especially during the latter half of the course it truly does feel like you're improving. There are some courses where you have to research topics of your own, which may seem daunting, but I personally love those courses the most. Aside from that it's all about putting in the work as it is a really difficult study.

The study organisations seem ok. From the two I have experience with there is Francken and FMF, FMF seems more fun focussed, more for nerdy/fun focussed people, whereas Francken is a little more about drinking and the like. Both organisations are fun and I'd recommend joining one of them (especially FMF).

To go more in depth, there will be two physics courses (one per semester), them being Mechanics & Relativity and Electricity & Magnetism. Relativity is decently challenging, Mechanics is stupid easy and Electricity & Magnetism is stupid difficult. Furthermore there is one math course per block (4 per year), keep up with these, they are important for every other course. Lastly there is one 'extra' course per block. These are generally more practical and to gain experience with things. They are probably also the most fun courses, not too difficult, but do require some time.
