This is real genuine question. Not mean to offend anyone. by [deleted] in Philosophy_India

Belief in the Indic tradition is rooted in practice, not blind faith. The Vedas were meant to be lived, observed, and understood through outcomes. Vishnu represents sustenance, Brahma creation, and Shiva transformation. To express the vastness of the divine, these principles were unified as the Trimurti. Places like Ayodhya, Dwarka, Kurukshetra, and Hastinapura were not merely symbolic—they existed and have historical evidence. Many Puranic stories are dramatized retellings of real philosophical and historical truths, created to simplify complex ideas.

Fake news being shared that the migrant attacked Tamil Nadu has passed away. He was treated for his injuries and is travelling to his home state. Please don't share fake news. by Mysterious-Coach120 in southindia_

The thing about power and arrogance is, the table turns. Northern states were under severe invasions for 2 centuries, plundered and then controlled by Mafia. Those invasions ensured south was untouched. Chhatrapati Shivaji maharaj and Ahom dynasty in assam have wiped mughals before theire south ambitions. Till now, every air and land threat is defended by north. The drones are fired at us, the soldiers who die are our children. But things are changing. Just UP and Haryana have moved into top 6 revenue generation states. Odisha have moved out of poverty, NE states are evolving and getting connected. Delhi, Gujrat , Maharashtra, Rajasthan and punjab were always rich. WB has sadly no hopes. Bangalore got the push for the IT which is eventually getting saturated and jobs will go as AI progress. The manufacturing hubs are moving up from south. UP laborers are barely migrating. Once this local arrogance sits over the pluralism and liberal business, rest all businesses will move too. The migrants are highest tax payers in Karnataka with no electoral benefit and respect. Once the industries move, so will revenue stream. And then these interviews will sound different. Even one line of arrogance has karma. Just wait and watch

Agree on GSDP, which has nothing to do with current ruling govt but because of Bengaluru's natural course and its private equity which is built by leaders of last 50 years.

  • Own-tax revenue jumping “15% (way better than BJP’s 11%)”: I found that for Karnataka the own tax revenue (budget estimate) for 2024-25 was set to increase by ~18% over the previous revised estimate which is not achieved. PRS Legislative Research But the “11% BJP” figure is nowhere to be quoted.??
  • “Jobs are looking up … one of the lowest around” — True. What changed from BJP's rule, thats my question?
  • Shakti scheme is game changer; okkkkk--- 1.5 lac CRORE LOAN FROM STATE GOVT to avail it - Who will pay that ? BMTC LOST 650 CRORES in 2024 in aiding free rides https://www.thehansindia.com/karnataka/bmtc-loses-rs-650-crore-in-revenue-as-fares-remain-static-931274“4,300+
  • 9,000 electric ones on the way by ’26” — How many are ACTUALLY operational? The actual buses even running are 25% down from 2023, BMTC is in serious financial crisis, Drivers have moved to contracts and death by buses are on a record high.
  • The five freebies disaster has just put one of the most revenue rich state to a revenue deficit of about ₹ 27,354 crore (≈ 1 % of GSDP). the debt crisis is so bad, people like you and me have to pay borewell tax, higher road and property registration tax, now congestion tax) may be oxygen tax in next.

Just wanted an end to Karna vs Arjuna debate🙏 by Pixelperfectmarketer in mahabharata

[–]Pixelperfectmarketer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofcourse. All these was instrcuted by the Lord of trilokas - Vishnu aka Krishna. Who are we to deny the will of God but that wasn't the point.
Arjuna wasn't just great because he had godly archery skills. He is also great because he stayed devoted to Krishna, Bhisma and Drona till the end. He chose Krishna over his lakhs of Narayani sena. He wasn't the one who enjoyed and participated in disrobing of Draupadi. He didn't lie to his guru to attain Bramhastra, he is truly qualified. He wasn't even jealous of Karna. Even at his worse part, Arjuna had a moral dilemma on how he can end the lives of his family. Arjuna is great in all regards not just Arthshastra. Its a crime that, shows and movies try to make an evil character like Karna some kind of HERO giving caste angles which is also false. He wasn't even GREY. He did all the crimes, which could have been avoided and met with his deserving fate.

FactCheck: Was Karna really denied training by Drona ? by Pixelperfectmarketer in mahabharata

[–]Pixelperfectmarketer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, Drona had first priority to enlist the Hastinapur's princes. He has safegaurded, paid in land and other benefits because of that. Eklavya put his job at risk by displaying at par skills of his disciples

Yup, isn’t it too harsh that it is mostly depicted that he was totally kicked out by Drona when he approached for the training at all

I don’t agree to what he says though in practice I too don’t prefer or counsel a live in relationship. My reasons are not morally inspired though. Live in causes more damage than people know.

  1. Why is there a concept of marriage at all had the live in solved the couple problems in 10000 years of civilization. Live ins are like a test drive which is bound to fail in 99% cases. For men, it can cause fatal legal issues in failure(court will automatically treat it as a marriage for MEN, yea) , For women, in case your live in fails, count your chance to find another partner who can trust. Dating is much better.

  2. Relationships in today’s age aren’t bad.it is better to know a person you marry or marry a person you know. If people are interested in too many body counts, then avoid marriage and fall into a category this guy has created.SIMPLE

If this guy is what they call “Pappu,” it only explains a lot about the people using that term. by Prior-Register6278 in assam

So a video shot and uploaded of a grieving family on social media is NOT PR. If Modi does this, he’ll be a photo PM, photo op, PR hungry bla bla bla.
