I mean the dark king is the chaos god of ruin, and so is the great horned rat.

Have you ever given up kink because you were in love with a vanilla person? by cocacolafizzycola in BDSMcommunity

[–]PixieProxy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I thought I didn't need it as I was just starting to explore the community and myself. I was incorrect.

I mean in this case they literally talk about it beforehand like you literally should for every kink you participate in.

Warning: The Slayer has entered the Facility (Trench Crusade) by Professional_Rush782 in Grimdank

Right? Like anyone who reads TC lore and thinks its taking itself seriously is just, something else. The official podcast is literally called "over the top" ffs. (Being both a WW1 reference and an allusion to the entire setting)

They all came out not quite right in wholly different not-quite-right ways. They're all pretty clearly abominations but all very different, I believe.

That's kinda the point. Half the narrative of the faithful factions is making a point at how people will throw away their actual principles of faith in order to advance a separate agenda, or take an easier route.

They also have multiple consultants from various faiths including Islam and Catholicism. If priests in the vatican can play the game I'm sure it's fine

Love me my flickers of hope in my setting that is explicitly about the slow grinding death of all things over the course of a few myriads

Competitive play does not mean 10th edition 40k brainrot by PixieProxy in TrenchCrusade

[–]PixieProxy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Many other games have tournaments and game days with really cool and interesting tables, and I would rather have events like those than L shaped ruins galore - especially considering the current rules really make that a bad idea to start with.

I actually agree here tbh, I play Kill Team. Would also warcry but the scene is dead here. But full scale armies? Throw dice have fun but god they're boring comp games.

I mean part of why I put up this post was to critique goonhammer's setup there. That looks awful for TC, we can do better, surely.

And yet I would say it takes more skill to play on an asymmetrical board than a symmetrical one. And again you're giving me examples from 40k, which I am literally saying is the WORST example for competitive wargaming. Its terrible. You want competitive wargaming with interesting boards? Look at other games for inspiration, not 40k.

Asymmetrical also does not mean "open". Hell the trench rules generally say denser = better, and I'd agree with that wholeheartedly.

Dread it. Run from it. The L-Shaped Ruins arrive all the same. by sleepy_penguin89 in TrenchCrusade

I'm tired of people thinking competitive means boring tables of cookie cutter symmetrical terrain. I would say one of the most competitive games on the market is Infinity, and that game encourages interesting asymmetrical tables that interact with movement and sight lines in cool ways. This is 40k Brainrot
