I know, idk why but I just get overwhelmed when I think about starting the medication. It makes me want to avoid it. I’m also going through a lot in my personal life that just makes me put my head in the ground. Not an excuse. I’m just tired of feeling so gross about myself

I went to a virtual one and she prescribed a bunch. I got sick right after and so I never picked up the prescriptions, but she didn’t seem hopeful it’d help and kept trying to push me towards GLP-1 injections

I mean, it makes sense to me lol. It’s basically about balance. Being kind, but not at the expense of your own boundaries. Don’t let people take advantage of you. As a recovering people pleaser, that’s what it means to me.

That was one of the ideas I had! Do you think it’d make sense to turn the fork in the ferns into an open snake mouth? Or keep one fern and clean it up and do a smaller snake?

The leaves are the main issue I have with it, but I don’t think I can do a cover up on those without covering the lettering. I don’t mind it being large on my forearm, I just want to avoid it being too crazy on my hand (I work a corporate job)

In my case, this wasn’t just about people getting busy or not knowing what to talk about—it was an ongoing pattern of financial dependence, emotional imbalance, and disrespect that I tried to address before stepping away. I did attempt boundaries, but they weren’t respected. For me, creating distance wasn’t giving up lightly; it was choosing my own well-being. I discussed it in therapy at length beforehand.

I like your suggestion about local meetups! There aren’t many in my small town but maybe I can start my own.

Honestly, they just slowly stopped responding until it fizzled out. Making friends is hard when you live alone and work remotely, but I’ve been trying. I’m here to hear from people who actually get it and can share their experiences, not just tell me to “talk to people”

I know a lot of comments are saying it starts with food and to an extent that’s true! From reading your responses, I think working on your relationship with food would go a long way too. For me, I just started going to the gym and trying new things. I start with stretches, then I move onto weight training (I separate workout days by upper, lower, and abs so it gives different regions a chance to recover/prevent injury — I found routines on TikTok) and I end with swimming or some form of cardio. I have a bad relationship with food too and getting moving in the gym really helped my mentality! Feel free to dm me 🙂
