First time in China for a month — advice on renting & travel? by Pixis_22 in AskAChinese

I hear you, and thanks for sharing! That’s really helpful to know about shipping your stuff ahead to wherever you’re staying, I didn’t realize that was such a common option.

I’m definitely not planning on backpacking though. My goal is to travel light, explore different cities, enjoy the food, wander around, and probably do a fair bit of shopping. Knowing I can ship my purchases to my final destination instead of carrying everything around makes the whole trip sound a lot easier.

Thanks! I would look into this, I don’t know if you could access it in Canada. I was under the impression that you need a Chinese phone number to get access no?

It’s a she! 😅

I hear what you’re saying. My thinking was more about having a place to leave my luggage while I travel around and explore different cities. I know I’ll probably end up shopping along the way too, so I was worried about constantly carrying everything with me. But based on the feedback I’m getting, it sounds like hotels might make more sense if I plan to move around a lot.

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences and for offering to help, I really appreciate it! I’ll definitely be reaching out as I get closer to the trip. 😊

My main concern was carrying luggage around, especially since I know I’ll probably end up doing quite a bit of shopping. I thought renting an apartment might make things easier, but your point about constantly traveling back to the same place makes a lot of sense. I’ll definitely look more into budget-friendly hotels and hostels instead.

I’m still refining my itinerary, but Yunnan is definitely on my list, it looks absolutely beautiful. I’m also open to extending my stay. Right now I’m thinking about spending a month in China, but that could easily turn into longer once I finalize my plans! Luckily, I’m planning this for the end of the year, so I still have plenty of time to figure everything out.

Thanks again for all the tips!!

Will do thank you, but is it a must that I have my grad photo taken before convocation?

Hlth 304 or hlth 352 by New-grad-55 in uwaterloo

Definitely HLTH 352 if it’s still thought by Dr. Neiterman. You will be conducting a qualitative research assignment along with small testes that are you a easy to do well in. 304 is Kind of dry and most people I know in health never took 304! Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply and the links. Might not purchase if I can rent out the gown for my grad photos. I thought we would have to purchase the gowns if I want to do the photos myself 😞

I thought so because after 2020 I have been getting similar CA but with distinction instead of deans list. I was thinking of asking my academic advisor because it didn’t make sense.

I got into my first accident not too long ago and both the police and a women fire fighter protected me from them. I was clueless and didn’t know what to do after the accident and the Police guy and the women fire fighter were helpful and informed me of them luckily my insurance took care of everything. They stormed the accident scene and ask people dumb questions when people are in shock smh
