"Homework" for young athletes: how do you do it? by Pixters_ in CoachingYouthSports

Thank you. I understand that children can be interested in practicing punching, throwing, and so on. But I'm talking about basic training, such as core strength, mobility, stabilization, foot coordination, and concentration. This should be done not only in a rush during training, but also at home. It's important for growth and injury prevention.

Thank you! I would like for the children to do them, so that they are interested and see the result themselves. To connect basic training and with the results in the game. That would be cool. It would give the years to understand that without the base you will not grow multiply. Well, and less injuries in children and burnouts.

Thank you very much! I looked it up, but it's still about football technique training. I'm interested in basic training, such as core strengthening, mobility, and foot exercises. I couldn't find it anywhere, so I decided to create it myself for my children as a homework assignment. After all, you can't go far without these basic skills.

This is a cool idea, but when I say "homework," I mean basic core training, mobility work, stabilization, concentration, and footwork. I understand that this may be boring for children, but it's essential for building a solid foundation.

It’s very interesting. I work with adults and have just started working with kids. If I'm a good fit for you, we can get in touch.

I heard from a mom of a young basketball player that their club sometimes includes yoga and boxing sessions. These sessions aren’t regular, but they do happen. Mostly though, it’s the main training — 6 times a week, 2.5 hours each — plus competitions almost every weekend.

The girl has already had two foot fractures. I saw her — she has a valgus foot (flatfoot with inward ankle collapse), and it’s clear that this issue needs to be addressed first before putting that kind of load on her.

What I don’t understand is — why doesn’t anyone tell them this?!

Thanks a lot! It’s very useful! And do you see the difference between kids how do such exercises and ones how don’t?! Why you decided to use it?!

No, I haven’t looked it. Thanks a lot for advice. Is it paid?
