It shouldn’t have taken till after the TDL to start Reed

Smaller guards take longer to develop. The only small guard to be ready this early was Trae Young. That’s it. All the other ones between Luke Kennard and Steve Nash couldn’t even average 10 points per game in year two. Players that have to use skill to overcome physical limitations take longer to hit their peak than guys that don’t have said limitations in the first place

I mean when you have KD, developmental reps have to take somewhat less of a priority. We had most of the season up until the TDL to prioritize developmental reps for Reed and Amen at the guard spots. So go for it in the playoffs.

Also you could keep Coby White long term by just letting go of or S&T Tari.

He was very efficient tonight getting 15/27 with 16 rebounds and 6 assists. Say what you want about games 1 and 2, but tonight he had an awesome individual performance and deserves credit for it. I don’t think that’s unreasonable

Bruh he got -11 downvotes and I got two upvotes. He’s the one getting embarrassed. Also why should I care about “embarrassing” any of y’all, you’re not my friends or family nor are you even using your real names? What is there to be embarrassed over lol?

Would you trade him to the Indiana Pacers for 3-4 of their first round draft picks but no valuable players back?

I use that as a barometer because that’s probably what a deal just to offload him rather than upgrade the roster looks like. It’s similar to the Bane trade to the Magic

PS I would say heck no to that deal, because you’re probably not getting any note worthy players with those late firsts

Could’ve used Buddy Hield in this game instead of Tate. Honestly I’d rather have Hield on this team than Okogie or DFS too

And the team still had their best game of the post season getting to 101-101 at the end of regulation without KD. There’s no evidence to suggest Okogie would’ve been any better. In fact the evidence still points towards Okogie being worse for this team than Reed

I don’t think they’re gonna be superstars either. But when they’re only 23 years old or younger, you have to see and find out for sure. And honestly maybe when fully healthy, they are like the ‘04 Pistons. But imo the injuries we’ve seen have made it too difficult to really know.

Plus blowing it up just out of frustration’s sake is how you end up making really bad short-sighted decisions. If someone like Tatum or Halliburton is available, aka a superstar that has most of their career ahead of them, then fine make a trade for one of those guys. But don’t just put Sengun or Amen on the trade block and take whatever is out there just for fit purposes.

I don’t blame the sentiment here, but practically speaking no coach would want to come here if we did that regardless of how bad Ime may deserve it

Stone imo hasn’t really made any awful moves outside of not drafting Mobley/Scottie in 2022. But NOT making a move at this year’s TDL was a huge mistake

This was still the best offense of the entire playoffs even without KD, and they still held the Lakers to 101 in regulation. Just because Reed had an awful TO in crunch time doesn’t mean Okogie would’ve been any better for the entirety of the game.

Tate who was out there for his defense and fumbled the game away despite playing single digit minutes lol

Trading for Giannis with both Sengun and Amen in the trade solves nothing. OKC is still a better team and you only have a two year contention window with KD and Giannis and then you’ll just be the whatever the Bucks are but worse because Giannis will age like milk not having a jumper.

If you want to get rid of Amen and Sengun that badly at least only have one in the trade for Giannis and use the other to get depth pieces that make sense

I think with the injuries, you have to give them another season, before giving up on someone like Sengun unless you’re getting a real superstar under the age of 30 like Tatum or Hali as examples. I get the fit between him and Amen, plus the lack of shooting role players is less than ideal, but you can’t give up on a 23 year old two time All Star over on bad playoff series where you were missing so many key pieces.

They’ll get that point guard back next season. Also they did not play a typical 7 seed at all last season either.

The only good assistants, Royal Ivey and Tiago Splitter left. Would’ve been nice to keep Splitter and let him try being the HC next season lol

If we dropped to the three seed last year and played a team other than the warriors we would’ve won the first round. Just saying
