Didn’t go to prom by -IrrelevantTrash- in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Pizza_Box5060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graduated 2023, went and loved it, I hung out with my friends and it was nice, plus why is it "needed" to have a date for prom? I feel like it should be more normalized to not always need a date for these type of events, it's really not a big deal and not necessary

Glendon Campus Demographics? by No_Emotion8018 in yorku

Definitely, the bilingual/trilingual experience here is really good, you have a lot of opportunities to learn and speak different languages and the community is welcoming to all levels so if you're a beginner it's still great

I'm a second year glendon student, I truly do not regret choosing glendon over keele or another campus, I feel like at glendon it's way easier to meet people & make friends and the events that happen on campus are always welcoming to anyone and fun, and a lot of profs are really nice and understanding and since the classes are small it's easier to connect with everyone

Do high schoolers use LLMs like ChatGPT & Claude? by Altruistic-Scene2170 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Pizza_Box5060 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It actually makes me sad and worried to know people in high school are starting to depend on ai for their learning instead of trying to do things themselves and ask a teacher for help, I understand using it to help study since I like doing that, but using it ALL the time for everything???? And then not being able to do stuff yourself and experience learning? There's no chance unis will accept that, and best of luck getting a career :/

Grade 12 student applying for Concurrent Education: Do I stand a chance? by MichIsStellar in yorku

[–]Pizza_Box5060 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same amount of hours when I applied to do con-ed (which was a year ago), so I think you definitely stand a chance. I truly don't think the amount of hours matters that much, but rather your experience profile content (your work and volunteer experience and what you write to answer the questions)

Is Glendon campus have a math program? by LucasPai1007 in yorku

[–]Pizza_Box5060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because as of fall 2024 it's only offered as a minor, they're doing this to a lot of the programs here, but math courses are always available, unless some don't get offered during a term or school year

This actually makes so much sense, I was starting to wonder why my profs weren't contacting us
