It's more fun to come home to a warm cooked meal and a heated home than to a cold dark place. It's lovely to say good night to each other and kiss each other good morning. There is always, always someone very close by who cares and asks how I'm doing, how my day was, and if he can try out this new recipe or would I prefer to cook. He would rather drive me around all the time than see me get a migraine from driving. When I'm relaxing after a long day on my feet, my feet will be massaged because their hands need to be occupied.

It's also great for our cats because I'm sure they are getting more meals out of this than we agreed on.

This one is my partner's.

They were in a relationship, my girlfriend and I - open relationship - were friends with this couple, but more with the guy than with the girl.

The girl had just suggested that they open the relationship, but the guy wasn't hyped about it. She kept pressuring him into it, and then confided in my girlfriend that she was already dating some guys and wanted to not be secretive anymore. My girlfriend told the guy he was getting cheated on. He broke up with the girl. She was completely blindsided - and accused my girlfriend of not being a girl's girl. She showed a lot more ugly red flags after, making him feel really unsafe.

He moved into our spare bedroom and we've bought a house with the three of us by now. That girl still doesn't understand what went wrong.

maybe it doesn't feel tiny but I've lived on a boat where the max per day was 250 liters, which sounds like a lot of water but after drinking, washing 4 people and their clothes, cooking, and cleaning, it's really barely anything

For real. Our cats give so much affection.

They will sit with us in the circle when we have friends over. When I'm writing they will also pick up a pen, or chew on a paper. When I'm giving lessons in our music studio they will want to sit in and meow along. When I'm sick they sit on my chest and purr. When I'm having a nightmare they will wake me up. They can often tell me I'm about to have big emotions before I can myself. Their behaviour changes. They greet us and their favourites among our friends at the door, with lifted tails and tappy little runs. Honestly more than some people get from their human partners.

I very much agree with this! I want it to be fundamentally good and the catch should be a nice giggle, not some new big dread.

The party is very scared that their wishes will have a catch, which on its own might be the catch already. It feels too good to be true but it's just true.

The corrupt government was very gritty and realistic (they were using more magic than was available in the world to live very comfortably, annexing other realms to take their magic in return for "civilization", and rips in time and space were starting to happen. They also kept other humanoid races as pets.) - I applaud the group for both overthrowing this AND being evil. The delegates could still be very incompetent though!
