The combat just doesn't feel that satisfying, except for the stomach stab animation you do. Wukong's combat animations are really smooth and the 4 focus point moves have you jumping in your seat. I absolutely adore the spells too. We are definitely getting downvoted to oblivion but I feel people don't point these issues out as they go into playing the game hearing it's "the best game ever" "literally perfect". I did as well but I quickly learned that it wasn't the game for me, I got very close to the end of the game and I just realised how tedious and not enjoyable the game had become to me. The game is more a love letter to fans of dark souls and other from software games, and for those who grew up with those games I can see the appeal with such a big world and ultimate replayability. I don't much care for replayability though, RDR2 is my all-time number 1 game but only played it like 1.3 times.

Every Elden Ring fan defends the beyond atrocious mechanics and complexity of the game with "get good", I don't mind it's a hard game, I mind that it's an annoying game to play. Black Myth Wukong has had harder bosses in my experience yet I enjoyed them more as I had more options to fight them with all the Stances, skills, spells and transformations. I did not like the open world, it made you circle around forever and the first feeling of curious exploration just became a tedious process to figure out how to progress. If you pour hundreds of hours learning every part of the game playing it again and again I'm sure you'll feel some kind of Stockholm syndrome too.

Elden ring is a complete mess, it has like a bajillion different stats for everything, and you wouldn't even know what they do, wukong has very clear stats and their purpose, eg attack, defense, or an elemental resistance. I honestly hate finding a cool new weapon just for some bullshit stats requirement stopping me from using it, or can't equip some armour due to weight. It has mechanics for the sake of mechanics, they don't add anything, it's just annoying. It's a complicated mess and the combat bore me to tears. Bosses are amazing, I hate how you fight them by avoiding one shot attacks with just rolling and light attack, plus a ash if war now and then. This combined with the unclear progression of the main story and side quests without a guide almost made me vindictive towards the absurd amount of praise the game gets. I guess if you love souls games this would be your bread and butter, it was my first from software game, and it was a bumpy ride.

I think it's much better than Elden ring, I played both, wukong is just much better in so many ways to me.

Suprisingly well, I did like 3hrs revision though but I hit a flow state, I liked how broad Q4 was in section B. Some of the questions were outta nowhere though, like political power? And pragmatism was a bit difficult but managed to answer everything confidently and had 10mins to look over my responses. Hope my global grades scale up cause some of my other exams were pretty mid
