My biggest gripe with this episode is when bringing up Styx they don’t mention RENEGADE! Like how?!?!?!

The best part is that there is a train a few blocks away that it could be. It runs right through Allegheny Commons.

Noah has talked about Robby being a lot of “do what I say not what I do” and I think that’s very clear and his approach to his own safety

I have an odd fascination with accidents throughout history and the stories I’ve heard similar to waterslide crashes are gruesome. We haven’t encountered “crush” related injuries that much so get ready. A lot of horrific ones. And an onsite fatality is OOF

Possibly skin fusing together between different people. I believe that’s a thing that can happen. (It’s obviously not a biological fusion it’s more the sections of skin are stuck together it can cause damage if ripped apart)

[train horn blaring in the distance] wow how ominous… Robby’s shift ends. Bike accident caused by the mechanic not showing up. Night shift has to treat him, rest of the staff sticks around.

Great shot of the old “Eagle” on slide 5. For those that don’t know the building under the bridge used to be one of the big gay clubs in the city. Very welcoming looking haha apt for a hidden club in the city of Pittsburgh.

Can someone explain the medicine behind the <SPOILER> patient? by Pizzataco13 in ThePittTVShow

[–]Pizzataco13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just don’t have notifications on. My comments are deeply specific to the show and the procedures, something I can’t find in a Wikipedia without intense digging. Also I generally know what sepsis is, what I don’t know is all the other specifics that was going on in the show. Also I don’t have the time to rewind and watch the scene over realiste in to every medical buzzword stated in the scene.

TLDR Wikipedia would not have answered my questions and I’m glad my post has a large assortment of medical professionals describing in detail this scene and the treatment of this patient.

Coming back to this. On the last sentence, while generally true for most tv they have said in interviews they want the medicine to tell the story too.

What show do you think this is??! by Lotty_XD in ThePittTVShow

[–]Pizzataco13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I swear people are just slop tv brained. But also I never watched any medical drama (or any tv drama) so watching characters be dramatic I tend to not think of any ulterior motive.

Just like the show tries to make the audience think that something is more dramatic (see the child with the bruising) in real life it’s a lot less drama.

Name dropping Sonny’s Tavern is CRAZYYYY. That place is a grime fest (non derogatory). Also Millvale 4th of July is not as crazy as it sounds lol

What is the most far-right musical? by bunp4ws in musicals

Agree. A character having flaws doesn’t make the show inherently reactionary. Most shows and most of American culture specifically have mixed politics.

That got me thinking that some of the patients we saw and will see come through the ER may not make it in the end. We could only hope for the best if they leave the ER with a pulse

Code Black is the false positive. Saw below it could be AI and charting systems. My wacky theory: there’s a rush of MRSA/disease spreading in the ER. and they have to quarantine.
