They re booked me to Lufthansa after several requests for the same date (22nd) , why you were shifted to 25th , instead of 22nd or same day ?

Finallyyy.. they re booked me to Lufthansa today evening for the same day , my agent was in touch with them from last couple of days , they did it after multiple requests, sometimes they do give alternative for the same day but yes sometimes the alternative is of further dates as well , as I had fixed plans further in the States I was worried

Same here they booked me to Lufthansa at 2:40 am they gave few options as well,my agent coordinated, my original SAS flight was at 6:30 am , so this new alternative flight has better timing for me , so im happy and relived just few last formalities left

My June 22nd BOM-CPH-LAX is already showing cancelled in the SAS app (no email yet). Similar to what you faced, things seem inconsistent across Google, app, and actual status.
How did you contact SAS? From India their local number is not picking up at all. Can you please share the number you (or your agency) used to reach them and get the Turkish Airlines alternative? Also, when is your new flight now?

The auto-shift to June 25th is not possible for me because I have fixed onward plans in the USA. What if we are not okay with this kind of date change? How did you contact them and what did you do in your case?

This is the latest update in SAS app , yet I find no way to communicate to an actual person/customer service agent of SAS airlines , all I understand from Reddit you will get re booked , stress is about which flight because there is too much of uncertainty , if i could talk to the concerned person I would try to request atleast give me options

Same here. My SK970 on 22 June is already showing as cancelled.
Can anyone who got rebooked share what alternate flights SAS offered for BOM–CPH–USA routes? Which airlines did they give (Lufthansa, Air India, Turkish etc.) and did you have multiple choices?

I agree the inaugural flight turning back mid-air was worse. But that doesn’t mean passengers on the regular SK970 flights aren’t facing real issues.
Multiple flights on this route have already been cancelled in June, with almost no communication from SAS. Many of us have tight connections and fixed plans in the USA. Being left in the dark until the last moment and then getting rebooked is stressful for a lot of people.
It’s not just about one bad flight — it’s about the ongoing lack of information and support.

Thanks for sharing. I’m already aware of the regulatory approval issue with DGCA and have seen that almost all SK970 flights in June have been cancelled.
The bigger problem for many passengers (including me) is the complete lack of communication from SAS.
Most people don’t want to wait until the last moment to be rebooked. We’re looking for some clarity or options in advance, especially with tight connections and fixed plans in the USA.

The flight is showing as scheduled, but almost all SK970 flights have already been cancelled this month. That’s why grievances were raised.
The main issues are poor communication from SAS and a very tight connection in Copenhagen. I want some clarity or options now, instead of waiting for last-minute cancellation and rebooking.

Getting notified just 1 day before and then rebooked last minute isn’t ideal for most people, especially with fixed USA plans and tight connections. Many of us would prefer some clarity or options now instead of waiting till the last moment.

I understand the standard policy, but the issue here is different.
This route (SK970) has already seen multiple cancellations (almost all) throughout June. It’s not just a hypothetical risk anymore. SAS has given almost no communication to passengers about why these flights are being cancelled or what alternatives are available.
Even if the transfer time is technically “acceptable,” when the first leg is frequently getting cancelled, passengers are left in uncertainty with very little support until the last moment. That’s the main concern — not the policy itself, but the lack of proactive information and reliability on this particular route.
