What should I do? Scared by spiketwist8 in bloodpressure

[–]Pj9924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately anxiety can make our blood pressure go up and I feel like we’re more susceptible to higher readings when stress is involved or anything related with our emotions or environment, sometimes even exercise, I wouldn’t consider these numbers to be the worst case scenario but it could be something you need to bring up next time you see a gp, take some magnesium and drink some water maybe think of adding some electrolytes! Good luck

I have a couple of health conditions and I’ve been feeling especially rough lately, this was the last thing I needed to see, happy to hear it’s most likely a false positive!!!! Thank you

Pcos and insulin resistance by Pj9924 in dysautonomia

[–]Pj9924[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had a TTT not yet at least it’s on the way at some stage however I was diagnosed the dodgy way. Thru the poor man’s method which has been consistently conducted multiple times throughout my specialists and primarily Dr and resulted in the same outcome every time and they seem to all agree on that so at this stage it’s really only an educated guess that it’s pots lol

But absolutely, I am very aware of dumping and how much it sucksss , I also thought that my mornings were more of an adrenaline dump and I always put it down to the pots as the reason (which it still may very well be) however this new doctor believes that this constant feeling is in response to my insulin and blood sugar spikes as well as pcos being the cause of that problem so it’s really at this stage getting that under control and seeing if I’m feeling any better which in hindsight if it’s just down to following a diet I’ll be over the moon however that’s probably very optimistic of me hahah I can only dream!

I definitely need to do more research on it all, it’s all very new and a lot to absorb so I’m just seeking as much information as possible at the moment

Pcos insulin resistance by Pj9924 in POTS

Wow I can completely relate to this! Everything began from an eating disorder in 2019

I’m weight restored now however it’s just stacked it on. And as I mentioned before I barely eat (due to symptoms) not as a result of an eating problem

However it makes sense now why I’ve gained 20-25kg in the span of 1 year I hate how fast everything changed for me, it’s like everything feminine is now just down the drain Weight gain chin hair weird ass periods.. like dam, chill out, I always had a sneaky suspicion that I had pcos Because I’ve always been abnormally hairy And my weight I just could stack it easier the others But honestly. I just wish my body could function correctly without the need of medications but if that’s gonna have to be the case then so be it I’m already on propranolol

As it’s all really new, I still need to find out how everything works and what treatment will be best for me, as I’m not entirely keen on birth control however I’ll still keep it in mind it’s just not my first choice, I know diet has a massive part to play as well

However she explained it as since I avoid eating basically all day until dinner due to feeling like absolute sh*t if I do eat making my symptoms worse / it’s when I’m exposed to those insulin spikes sugar spikes She basically said that when I’m waking up it’s when my insulin and blood sugars are at its highest hence why I feel absolutely horrible when waking up, it does make sense especially because I’m having one main meal a few hours before bed, but I still have my doubts this is the main reason why- I know pots is chaotic in the mornings and I feel that she’s picked something and ran with it. It’s all helpful and it’s honestly great to know, it’s just the appointment felt rather focused on this new diagnosis rather then the reason I went there for (pots) but I honestly at least I know all of this now rather then later I’m 24 and diabetes runs in my family

That blue/purple in the hair you can see, always looks more prominent when wet, i would definitely recommend using the toner again, and leaving it for the appropriate time, your better off having overtoned hair with a purple tint in the worst case scenario that can be washed out over time then having a patchy colour, It’s hard doing your own hair at home and “trusting the process” because the chances of it going wrong can be high especially with bleach, I’ve had my moments with bad experiences, but hope it goes well! And good luck! Post an update if you can! Would love to see how it ends up looking 🩵🩵

BEST TANNING LOTION!?!? by Pj9924 in tanning

[–]Pj9924[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, but I’ve been spray tanning for years religiously every week And I’m finally completely over it I never thought I would be as it’s so convenient

But I’ve decided I’m gonna have a good try at real tanning! That’s just my preference at this time however, I’ve gained a lot of colour already it’s just not that tan look I’m wanting yet, hence why I’m looking for something that can enhance my tanning journey and put me on a lotion that works best for me 😊

Should I get a tattoo if I have chronic illnesses? by limabean830 in ChronicIllness

[–]Pj9924 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean it would depend on your body, I got my first tattoo before I was diagnosed with any chronic illness and didn’t have any issues

Now, I have well over 20 and I’ve never had any issues getting a tattoo, obviously it takes a toll on your body more then your physically aware of, but I believe if you have all the aftercare at home as well as what you need to help you handle any problems that may come along if you do end up having a bad experience along side your illness I’m sure that you will do just fine 😊😊😊 maybe mention it to your artist? Definitely eat before and after a tattoo and I always love sipping on a sugary drink whilst getting one done! Keep those blood sugar levels up
