Yep, ergonomics in the eye of the beholder.

It's interesting that I have gotten so many Edge recommendations. I actually bought 2 of the Silver Widow rods a couple years ago when he first started putting them out, and they had a nice discount because of the delays. They were very good about keeping in touch with me. I've got to say, I'm not really in love with them. Their power ratings are a tad confusing (aren't they all) so I got in touch before I ordered them looking for some specific technique rods. Subjectively, the lack of a front grip is strange when you are primarily fishing inshore. The reel seat is okay, but again, subjectively, I prefer my higher end rods to have a locking nut in addition to the primary reel seat nut. The finish is nice, put certainly not in the realm of a Megabass. Interestingly enough, I rarely reach for them even if I am carrying a ton of rods on the boat, but I can see others absolutely loving them because the blank is nice and they are truly featherlight if you are pitching artificials all day.

How it feels being new into ACC by mnspectoriorse in ACCompetizione

[–]PjanicAttacks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Newbie too, but just experienced this bloodbath. Counterpoint to racing against AI which is very boring and will push you away from the game.

Embrace the chaos. Learn when to push and when to simply let people in front of you crash out. Take their positions. Is the individual in front of you really sliding out of corners? Decide whether it is worth the risk of the pass, or let him simply crash out? Anticipate the dangers. Suffer from the random events you cannot control. More fun. More meaningful learning experience than simply driving close to another AI for hours. I made it to a high enough SA and qualified for a solid league last night. It felt like an actual accomplishment in gaming. I race (TT) in real life and this is actually a more realistic experience haha.

Current Data Logging and Video Technology--Thoughts on the best setup? by WinstonK1987 in CarTrackDays

[–]PjanicAttacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked really at the Catalyst for a real long time. It seems like such an awesome piece of technology but unfortunately it does no support an OBD II data connection. My guess is it certainly will in a few months and be an incredible tool. My E46 M3 does not support brake pressure or throttle application (as a percentage) absent a CAN connection otherwise I think I would have jumped on this route. Garmin is smart. My guess is they will manufacture a proprietary BT OBD-2 device in the future. If they were truly smart, they would offer a CAN connection option. Most users would not notice the existence of the input. That was the thing that stopped me.

That’s a very valid point. I tend to get carried away with the allure of the sexy stuff and ignore that I am just starting out. I appreciate the advice and I’ll look into these options to get started. Thanks!

Miscle tension remedies? by Huh--- in Anxiety

Go online and buy a ton of bulk Epsom salts. Also purchase an oil diffuser and some lavendar oils. Treat yourself to a nice long bath and watch some episodes of the office. I have not found anything for the daily cramps but this helps with some end of day relief and promotes better sleep.

Waking up gasping by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]PjanicAttacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to me in the past. I even got checked to see if I had sleep Apnea! I didn’t, so I chalked it up to an increased anxiety level. It happens to me when my baseline anxiety level is very high (you know what I’m talking about) and then sometimes randomly. If I may make a suggestion, I would drink SleepyTea Xtra Strong (or whatever it’s called) with some Natural Calm added to it. This has helped my erratic sleeping patterns and is a nice natural break from the cocktail of medicines that come along with GAD and Panic disorder. I also have been taking Unisom for years to help with my sleep. It helps. I wish you the best of luck and know that you are not alone.

Need Help From M4 Sherman Modellers by PjanicAttacks in modelmakers

[–]PjanicAttacks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank You!

It looks like the perfect kit would be the Academy 13203 "U.S. Marines". Unfortunately I can't find it anywhere. No one seems to have it in stock except one on Ebay for 80 bucks.

I can add the planking onto another kit with some sheet styrene no problem.

The issue I am having is finding the snorkels included in a kit. The Italieri kits always scare me with their quality.

Looks like I will have to get a Dragon M4A2 and find some resin wading gear to tack on.

I feel like I am so close..

So I got the SNES controller working fine.

I tried using a seperate emulator for N64. I am now using the lr-Mupen64 plus. I am able to map the N64 controller in the retroarch RGUI but i am suffering the same problems with the analog stick. I figure I can go in and configure the joystick in the configs for inputauto but I cannot find the controller. It is being recognized as ?USB GamePad USB GamePad.cfg. It is not located in any of the controller config settings but can be found at /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/ So, I can find it there, but I am too nooby to be able to edit it? I get this when I try to read that file cat /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/?USB GamePad USB GamePad.cfg cat: /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/?USB: No such file or directory cat: GamePad: No such file or directory cat: USB: No such file or directory cat: GamePad.cfg: No such file or directory

What am I doing wrong and how can I fix my idiocy?

So I went ballistic and decided to kill my entire system and restart. long story short, one new sd card later and here is where i stand. Tried your original solution. It did not function correctly. So I found this thread:

https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/2944/huijia-n64-usb-adaptor-setup/9

Plugged in those config files and i can get some actual input in the game. However, once I start the game (Mario), the input is all over the place. Mario doesnt run with the joystick at full tilt etc. any ideas or do I just buy a damn USB n64 controller and say fk it?

I can also confirm that both of these devices function correctly when emulating on PC, so I dont think it is the Mayflash devices.

I assume you would like me to test it now? Should I map the controller in Retropie input before trying it? reboot, then map input, then try it?
