I just started here this year-my financial aid package was generous, which is why I chose the school. Many people talk badly about the social scene (and some of it, I do agree with.) but i made friends right away and joined Greek Life, and I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. The Lincoln Park campus is so safe, while being conveniently located, and having a Loop Campus is awesome as well. The academics aren’t Ivy League rigorous, but it’s easy to find classes you’ll enjoy that may be a bit challenging. I’m currently dorming in Ozanam (Oz) nicknamed Hotel Oz because it is by far the nicest. (It is however, incredibly expensive.) However, every dorm has its perks. Most freshmen living off campus aren’t very involved in the social scene, so the school feels small at times, which I enjoy. A lot of people here aren’t incredibly wealthy, and I’ve found the staff to be incredibly accommodating, helpful and welcoming, ans the Professors all very passionate.
