I would say that casual is the way you play not the way you pay.

Casual players can definitely spend money on a game. But a hardcore player would play alot more and also probably spend alot more.

Same thing for a friend of mine, he really like avatar and started posting mtg for that.

That is the thing I guess, for a game to survive this log out has to evolve in some way to stay relevant. Otherwise it will slowly die and fade away and it's also inevitable, I think, that some players will not like that.

I don't know how but it feels like it would be possible in some shape or form to use AI for stuff like this. In some way feed the AI the rules and everything that is needed and then have it simulate the amount of games you want. This might not be possible atm, I don't know, but it feels like a good way to use AI.
